Have you ever experienced

the act of creation
in absolute silence?

You feel a flow
moving through you…

offering answers
and solutions

to every problem…

without a single thought.

In those moments…

you are like a hollow flute-

allowing the Universe

to breathe its music
through you.

I have lived
through such moments.

I realized

I didn’t have to “do” anything…

I only had to stay still…

and let creativity
manifest through me.

This is Intuition-

the sacred gift
from the Universe.

But as I grew up…

I was taught
to ignore it.

I became

a “faithful servant”
to my intellect…

constantly analyzing…

and calculating

every peak
and valley

of life’s sine wave.

Yet…

as Einstein warned…

our society honors
the servant…

while forgetting
the true master.

Only when I stop thinking…

and let the mind
cease its shouting…

can I reach
for that gift again.

That is when

my true nature speaks…

guiding me

through life’s
unexpected turns…

with grace.

In great honor of my Professor in Clinical Psychology (Vu Amsterdam) real African in his soul and body and great warrior for change in western colonial psychology and fighter for the emancipation of African psychology. This man greatly inspired me and my own fight to liberate Caribbean and Aruban psychology and psychology at large from its shackles and find its own identity also within science and medical reductionism. His landmark book: Re-examining Psychology - Critical perspectives and African insights, is a testament to his love and belief in African psychology. This teacher lit my fire… and introduced me to Jung who was the only way to innerstand the Caribbean psyche. I dreamt extensively with him last night in which we were still collaborating and only today I found out Len passed away a few years ago… May u continue ur great journey Len to free the great African psychology from the shackles of Colonialism. ❤️
