Stichting Algemene Bejaardenzord Aruba - SABA On the 22nd of March 1972, SABA was founded, to care for elderly people. On March 22, 1972 the Foundation was established. Huize Maris Stella in Savaneta.

Within the last decade a shift has been made towards a nursing facility for chronic care. SABA is a nursing home subsidized by the government working according to outcome subsidy principles. The Foundation manages three nursing homes in three different locations:
San Pedro di Verona in Oranjestad. Centro di Cuido in San Nicolas. The clients of the Foundation can be divided into two categories.
1- somatic
2- psychogeriatric

The residents are nursed and cared for according to an individualized care plan. Medical care is provided by three specialists in chronic care.
