ডিপ্রেশন মানে সব সময় চোখে জল থাকা নয়। অনেক সময় সবকিছু ঠিকঠাক থাকার পরও মনে হয় কিছু একটা ভুল। আগ্রহ হারিয়ে যাওয়া, ক্লান্তি, আত্মবিশ্বাস কমে যাওয়া, ঘুমের সমস্যা—এগুলোও ডিপ্রেশনের লক্ষণ।

বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থার হিসাব অনুযায়ী, বিশ্বে প্রায় ২৮০ মিলিয়ন মানুষ বিষণ্ণতায় ভোগে।

আমাদের সমাজে এখনো অনেকে মনে করে “ভালো থাকো”, “ইচ্ছাশক্তি বাড়াও” বললেই যেন ডিপ্রেশন দূর হয়ে যাবে। অথচ এটি একটি বৈজ্ঞানিকভাবে স্বীকৃত মানসিক রোগ, যার জন্য প্রয়োজন হয় সহানুভূতি, সচেতনতা ও সঠিক চিকিৎসা।

ডিপ্রেশনের সঠিক চিকিৎসা না হলে আত্মহত্যার ঝুঁকি বাড়ে, সম্পর্ক নষ্ট হয় এবং জীবনযাত্রা ব্যাহত হয়। প্রফেশনাল সাহায্য নিলে অনেকেই সুস্থ হয়ে ওঠে।

মনে রাখবেন, "Mental illness is not a personal failure." এটা এমন এক যাত্রা, যেখানে সাহায্য চাওয়াটা প্রথম সাহসী পদক্ষেপ।

আপনি বা আপনার কাছের কেউ কি নিরবেই লড়াই করছেন? কথা বলুন, পাশে থাকুন।

অনেকেই মনে করেন, না বলা মানে রুঢ় বা অহংকারী হওয়া। কিন্তু বাস্তবে, Healthy Boundary মানে হলো নিজের মানসিক শান্তি বজায় রাখা। প্রতিটি সম্পর্কেই কিছু সীমারেখা থাকা জরুরি—যা আমাদের নিরাপত্তা ও আত্মমর্যাদা রক্ষা করে।

এক জরিপে দেখা গেছে, প্রায় ৬৫% মানুষ অন্যকে খুশি করতে গিয়ে নিজের মানসিক স্বাস্থ্যে আঘাত করেন।

যখন আমরা "না" বলতে পারি না, তখন নিজেকে অবহেলা করি, চাপ নিই এবং ধীরে ধীরে ক্ষুব্ধ বা হতাশ হয়ে উঠি। Healthy boundary স্থাপন করা মানে, আমি নিজেকে ভালোবাসি এবং নিজেকে রক্ষা করতে পারি।

না বলাটা আত্মরক্ষার একটি উপায়। কেউ যদি আপনার সীমা না মানে, সেটা তার দায়িত্ব। আপনি না বলার জন্য দোষী নন।

আপনি নিজের জন্য কতটা জায়গা রাখেন? নিজেকে ভালোবাসতে শিখুন, ‘না’ বলাও ভালোবাসার এক রূপ।
