‘‘চর জাগে দেশ বাচেঁ”
Adaptation Expro 25

দুই দিন ব্যাপি ‘‘মানুষের জন্য ফাউন্ডেশন” আয়োজিত ‘‘ চর জাগে দেশ বাচেঁ” শীর্ষক এক্সপোজারে কম্পাস এইড এসোসিয়েশন একটি ইনোভেটিভ প্রজেক্ট মডেল (শুধুমাত্র চরের জন্য) উপস্থাপন করে।
যেখানে চরের সুবিধাবঞ্চিত জনগোষ্ঠির আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নয়ণ, আধুনিক কৃষি এবং জলবায়ু সহিঞ্চু অভিযোজন প্রক্রিয়া এবং তাতে নারীর ক্ষমতায়ন সম্পর্কে একটি সুস্পস্ট পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে । কম্পাস ইতিমধ্যে চরের প্রায় ১৫০০ মানুষকে প্রাথমিক স্বাস্থ্যসেবার আওতায় নিয়মিত স্বাস্থ্যসেবা প্রদান করে আসছে। পর্যাপ্ত জনবলের অভাব, সীমিত অর্থনৈতিক স্বক্ষমতা এবং সুযোগ সুবিধার অপ্রতুলতা আমাদের কাজ করার প্রত্যয়কে কখনোই থামিয়ে রাখতে পারেনি।

এই চলার পথে অনেক মানুষের সহযোগীতা ও সহমর্মিতা আমাদের উদ্যোগকে সফল করেছে। মানুষের জন্য ফাউন্ডেশনের মতো দাতা সংস্থা যদি আমাদের পাশে পাই তাহলে আমাদের স্বপ্ন বাস্তবায়নে কোন সংকট থাকবে না। কম্পাস বিশ্বাস করে প্রতিটি চরাঞ্চল হবে এক একটি স্মার্ট এগ্রিকালচার হাব । আমরা সেই পরিশ্রমী আত্ম-প্রত্যয়ী প্রকৃতীর সাথে যারা প্রতিনিয়ত অভিযোজন করে বেচেঁ আছে তাদের প্রকৃত উন্নয়নের স্বপ্ন গড়তে চাই। স্বপ্নই তো মানুষকে এগিয়ে নেয় , যেমনটি কম্পাস এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে বা যাবে।

``Char jage , Desh Bache ”
Adaptation Expo 25
In the two-day long exposition titled “Char jage , Desh Bache”, organized by Manusher Jonno Foundation, COMPASS AID ASSOCIATION presented an innovative project model (designed exclusively for char areas).
This model outlines a clear plan for the socio-economic development of marginalized char communities, modern agriculture, climate-resilient adaptation processes, and women’s empowerment. Compass has already been providing regular primary healthcare services to around 1,500 char dwellers. Despite shortages of manpower, limited financial capacity, and scarcity of facilities, nothing has been able to stop our determination to continue working.
On this journey, the cooperation and compassion of many people have made our initiatives successful. If donor organizations like Manusher Jonno Foundation stand beside us, there will be no barrier to turning our dreams into reality. Compass believes that every char will become a smart agriculture hub in the future.
We want to build the dream of true development together with those resilient and hardworking people of nature who survive by adapting every day. Dreams are what drive people forward—just as Compass has been moving forward and will continue to do so. Photo courtesy – Ahsanul Kabir Dalim
