✨ টিবিতে স্টেরয়েড ব্যবহারের প্রধান নির্দেশনা

1. খুবই গুরুতর অসুস্থ রোগীদের ক্ষেত্রে

কেমোথেরাপি কার্যকর হওয়া পর্যন্ত সময় কিনে দেওয়ার জন্য স্টেরয়েড দেওয়া হয়।

2. টিবি ড্রাগের প্রতি Hypersensitivity reaction নিয়ন্ত্রণে

ওষুধের অ্যালার্জি/হাইপারসেনসিটিভিটি কমাতে স্টেরয়েড সহায়ক।

3. Serous sac involvement—যেমন pericarditis, peritonitis, pleural effusion

Fibrosis/adhesion প্রতিরোধ করতে

Pleural fluid absorption দ্রুত করাতে

4. টিউবারকিউলাস মেনিনজাইটিস (TB meningitis)

Stage II এবং III রোগে

Adhesion, morbidity এবং mortality কমাতে

5. Genitourinary tuberculosis

ভবিষ্যতে ureteric stricture হওয়া থেকে রক্ষা করতে

6. Adrenal tuberculosis

TB-এর কারণে adrenal hormone কমে গেলে

Corticosteroid deficiency পূরণ করতে

Addisonian crisis প্রতিরোধ/ব্যবস্থাপনা করতে

7. Lymph node enlargement causing obstruction

TB chemotherapy চলাকালীন mediastinal lymph node বড় হয়ে

Bronchial obstruction হলে

অথবা tuberculous endobronchitis এ স্টেরয়েড দেওয়া হয়
