চ্যালেঞ্জের মধ্যে আছে সরকারের তরফ থেকে স্বাস্থ্য নীতিতে এখনও প্যালিয়েটিভ কেয়ার অন্তর্ভুক্ত না। স্বাস্থ্য নীতিতে অন্তর্ভুক্ত না হলেও এই বিষয়ে পড়ান হয়, এমডি কোর্স আছে, প্রতিবছর শিক্ষার্থী বের হচ্ছে এই কোর্স করে। কিন্তু তারা কোনও পোস্টিং পাচ্ছে না। সরকারের স্বাস্থ্য নীতিতে যদি না থাকে তাহলে তো পদ তৈরি হবে না, সারাদেশেও ছড়াবে না। বেসরকারি খাতে এই সেবা শুধু ঢাকা কেন্দ্রিক। এই সেবা সারা দেশে ছড়ানো একটা বড় চ্যালেঞ্জ।
