টক্সোপ্লাজমোসিস একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ জুনোটিক রোগ যা পোষাপ্রাণী থেকে মানুষের মধ্যে ছড়িয়ে পড়তে পারে।প্রতি বছর বাংলাদেশসহ পৃথিবীর বিভিন্ন দেশে এই রোগটি দ্বারা মানুষ আক্রান্ত হচ্ছে।এই রোগটি পুরুষ ও মহিলা উভয়ের স্বাস্থ্যের জন্য ক্ষতিকর ও হুমকিস্বরূপ। আমরা, বাংলাদেশের একদল গবেষক এই রোগটির বিস্তার, ঝুঁকি ও প্রতিরোধ সম্পর্কে পোষা-বিড়ালের মালিকদের বিস্তারিত জ্ঞান, দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি ও অনুশীলন জানতে আগ্রহী।

Real scenario of paracetamol (acetaminophen) toxicity/poisoning. (develops within 1-4 hrs. of ingestion)

Points to be ovserved: Gum (deep blue to dark, sometimes brown, tachycardia, tachypnea)

Making awareness among the owners to avoid paracetamol incase of fever or pain from unwanted accidents.

For practitioner Meloxicam (0.3-0.5 mg/kg; IV/IM/SC) , ketoprofen should be choice of drug (2mg/kg; )IV/IM/SC & 50% of the primary dose subsequently) in case of use as a antipyratic or as an analgesic.

: Two Rabbits for routine check up from Gono Bhaban Complex.
: Two cats were with gastritis from Mirpur.
: One dog was with paracetamol poisoning from Mirpur and
: Two cats for grooming & nail cutting from Mirpur.
