The daily death toll from Covid-19 reached a new high in the country, with 143 more people succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 8,301 more people became infected with the viral disease during the same time period. According to the DGHS, the positivity rate peaked at 25.90 percent in the previous 24 hours.
