এটি একটি সম্মানিত ও মহিমান্বিত রাত। আল্লাহ তায়ালা বলেছেন, ‘শবে কদর এক হাজার মাসের চেয়েও উত্তম’ (সুরা: কদর, আয়াত-৩)। ঈমাম তাবারি (রহ.) তার তাফসিরে তাবারিতে উল্লেখ করেন, ‘লাইলাতুল কদরের আমল হাজার মাসের আমলের চেয়েও উত্তম, যার মধ্যে অন্য কোনো কদরের রাত নেই’ (তাফসিরে তাবারি)।

ডায়াবেটিস রোগীদের কিছুক্ষণ পরপর অল্প খাবার খাওয়ার পরামর্শ দেন চিকিৎসকরা। কিন্তু রোজার সময় তাদের প্রায় ১৪/১৫ ঘণ্টা না খেয়ে থাকতে হয়। ফলে ভোরে ওষুধের মাত্রা একই রকম থাকলে বিকালের দিকে রক্তে চিনির মাত্রা অনেক কমে যাওয়ার আশঙ্কা থাকে, বিশেষ করে যারা ইনসুলিন গ্রহণ করেন, তাদের জন্য। তাই ডায়াবেটিস রোগীদের রোজার মাসে নিজেদের যত্ন কিভাবে নিবেন তা জানাটা জরুরি।
