Several studies have been done on FSD and focus on various aspects of the condition it is obvious that FSD has become an easy target of medicalization (medicine and surgery). FSD till now is a complex and controversial subject; even people are trying to analyze it or doing
research on it are not clear about the meaning of the term properly, particularly the meaning of D’. Some of the authorities try to say ‘D’ stands for “dysfunction”, the other group says it "dissatisfaction”; therefore, it is yet to come out of the tangled muddling. A sexual problem or
sexual dysfunction refers to a problem during any phase of the sexual response cycle that prevents the individual or couple from experiencing satisfaction from the sexual activity. It also has economical, cultural, and societal impact. The sexual response cycle has four phases:
excitement, plateau, or**sm, and emotional satisfaction (Montgomery, 2008). The main differences of sexual dysfunction in men and women is visibility, it is visible in men with erectile dysfunction and easy to deal with but in women it is non visible. As FSD is the most unclear form of disorder (without any definite signs or symptoms), the social construction influences it and turns it into a contested form of illness and stigmatized. Social construction can be defined as “a mechanism, phenomena, or category created and developed by society, a perception of individual, group or idea that is constructing through culture or society practice”
