Many of you have been reaching out, asking for an update about this dog.
The truth is, it took us some time to even find the words after everything she has been through.
She is now with us. She is safe. But the suffering she endured for so long did not end the day she was rescued. Her body is still carrying the weight of that pain.
Her X-ray revealed a chronic dislocation in her C4 vertebrae that has already fibrosed. She is also dealing with severe constipation. An ultrasound showed an enlarged spleen, and worms were found in her intestines, requiring further testing. While her bladder is intact and there is no free fluid, her blood report tells another story, elevated white blood cells and neutrophils indicating infection, alongside low red blood cells, hemoglobin, and hematocrit, showing anemia and weakness.
This is what prolonged suffering does it lingers, it spreads, and it slowly breaks the body, even while the soul keeps fighting.
And still, Victoria is fighting.
After all the fear and pain she has endured, she is finally in a place where she will receive care, patience, and love. Her healing will take time, treatment, and rest but she is no longer alone.
Please keep Victoria in your prayers. She has already endured more than any innocent soul should. Now, she deserves healing, safety, and love.
