I obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Dhaka Medical College and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Psychiatry from Bangladesh Medical University in Dhaka. In addition, I did an internship in Behavioral Neuroscience at National Institute for Physiological Sciences in Japan. My BMDC Number is: A58262

I received the prestigious Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology (JSPN) Fellowship award in 2022. In 2020, I received the “Young Investigator Award” at the 2nd Research and Education Center of Bridging Asian Mental Health and Psychiatry (REBAMP) in Philippines.

OCD খুব কষ্টের একটা রোগ..

সঠিক চিকিৎসা করলে, ধৈর্য ধরলে এবং পারিবারিক সহযোগিতা থাকলে এ রোগকে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা সম্ভব..

অধিকাংশ ওসিডি রোগীরা চিকিৎসা সম্পূর্ণ করেন না। অনেকেরই পরিবার থেকে সহযোগিতা করা হয় না..

ঢাকা মেডিকেলের বন্ধু, গৌরব অধিকারী।মেডিকেল লাইফে আমার সবচেয়ে কাছের মানুষ। ‌

১২ বছর পর দেখা। এখন সে অস্ট্রেলিয়ার ডাক্তার। খুব মজার মানুষ। সব সময় মুখে হাসিলেগে থাকে। এখনো একই রকম। ‌

ওর সাথে যে কত স্মৃতি !

গৌরব, সুষমা ( আমার বউ) একসাথে উপস্থাপনা করত। সেখান থেকে সুষমাকে চেনা।‌

গৌরব আমার মেডিকেল লাইফের রুমমেট। পরবর্তীতে সুষমা আমার জীবনের রুমমেট হয়।

যেদিন প্রথম সুষমার সাথে দেখা করতে যাই, গৌরবকে সাথে নিয়ে গিয়েছিলাম। যেদিন ঘরোয়াভাবে আমাদের আকদ হয়,‌বন্ধুদের মাঝে ‌শুধুমাত্র গৌরব সেখানে উপস্থিত ছিল।

কি মজার ছিল দিনগুলো !

গৌরবকে আমি কখনো মেডিকেল পড়াশুনা নিয়ে দুশ্চিন্তা করতে দেখিনি। দেখা গেল আগামীকাল অনেক কঠিন একটা আইটেম, ঘন্টার পর ঘন্টা পড়াশোনা করা লাগবে। গৌরব পড়াশোনাযর অনেক প্রস্তুতি নিয়ে ২০ মিনিট পরেই ঘুমিয়ে যেত। সকালে ঘুম থেকে উঠে ঠিকই আইটেম পাস করে আসতো। কিভাবে করত সেটা ও জানত না, আমরাও বুঝতাম না। ভীষণ মেধাবী ছেলে।

এই মানুষটা অনেক সাহায্য করেছে আমাকে। ভীষণ কৃতজ্ঞ ওর প্রতি। জীবনে ভালো বন্ধু থাকলে জীবন কিছুটা সহজ হয়।

আমি খুব বন্ধু বৎসল মানুষ কিন্তু আমার সকল ভাল বন্ধুগুলো দেশের বাইরে আছে। এটা ভাবলে মাঝে মাঝে খারাপ লাগে।‌ বুড়ো বয়সে আর নতুন বন্ধু করতে পারিনি। মাঝে মাঝে কিছুটা একা লাগে নিজেকে।
