HDRC extends its sincere appreciation to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Bangladesh for successfully arranging and facilitating the event. The program was thoughtfully planned, executed, and creating a meaningful platform for dialogue, learning, and collaboration among all participants.

The IOM - UN Migration convened a Knowledge Sharing Event on Strengthening Mechanisms for Improved Reintegration Services in Dhaka, bringing together key stakeholders to advance collective action for returnee migrant workers.

With the generous support of the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, the event gathered government institutions, development partners, civil society, and the private sector to reflect on progress achieved through the Reintegration for Migrant Workers Project, implemented in close collaboration with the আন্তর্জাতিক শ্রম সংস্থা - International Labour Organization and UN Women Bangladesh. Discussions highlighted advances in policy reform, coordination frameworks, and reintegration service delivery.

The dialogue showcased achievements, shared lessons from decentralized reintegration efforts, and marked the formal handover of revised policy frameworks and knowledge products to the Government of Bangladesh—reinforcing national ownership and long-term sustainability.

IOM - UN Migration convened partners for a dialogue to explore the nexus between youth and migration, bringing together youth changemakers from the United Nations Youth Advisory Group Bangladesh, government 🇧🇩, development partners, and other key stakeholders to amplify youth perspectives in migration governance, advocacy, and programme design, supported by the European Union in Bangladesh 🇪🇺

Participants discussed ways to leverage stronger youth engagement, building the foundations for the development of a Youth & Migration Plan for Bangladesh.

HDRC is conducting the Baseline Study of the USDA McGovern-Dole School Feeding Programme, with the goal of understanding children’s nutrition, education, and school participation more deeply.

This effort is being carried out in close collaboration with Intellecap, WFP (World Food Programme), CNRS (Center for Natural Resource Studies), and Room to Read (RtR). Together, we are listening to teachers, parents, and students — learning about their challenges, hopes, and dreams.

The insights from this study will guide future actions to ensure that every child not only comes to school but also learns with energy, health, and happiness.

উত্তরার মাইলস্টোন স্কুলে ঘটে যাওয়া হৃদয়বিদারক দুর্ঘটনায় আমরা সবাই শোকস্তব্ধ। আকাশ থেকে নেমে আসা যুদ্ধবিমানের করুণ ধ্বংসযজ্ঞে নিষ্পাপ কিছু শিশুর জীবন মুহূর্তেই থেমে গেল!!

‘Enhancing the role of Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) as drivers of Sustainable Growth and Innovation’ - 'টেকসই প্রবৃদ্ধি ও উদ্ভাবনের মূল চালিকাশক্তি হিসেবে এমএসএমই খাতের ভূমিকা সুদৃঢ়করণ’

শোভন কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টি এবং জীবনযাত্রার মান উন্নয়নে মাইক্রো, ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্পকে আরো এগিয়ে নেয়ার লক্ষ্যে ২০১৭ সালে জাতিসংঘ ২৭ জুনকে 'আন্তর্জাতিক এসএমই দিবস' হিসেবে ঘোষণা করে।

বিশ্বব্যাপী অর্থনৈতিক উন্নয়ন টেকসই কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি ও দারিদ্র্য এসএমই খাতের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা বিবেচনায় এই দিবসটি বিশেষভাবে তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ। এসএমএস ফাউন্ডেশন ২০১৯ সাল থেকে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে দিবসটি পালন করে আসছে।

বাংলাদেশের এসএমই উন্নয়নে সরকারের বিভিন্ন কার্যক্রম স্থানীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিক মহলে উপস্থাপন এবং ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্পের চলমান উন্নয়নের প্রবাহকে আরো বেগবান করার লক্ষ্যে এসএমই ফাউন্ডেশন ILO এর সহযোগিতা এই বছরও বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচি গ্রহণ করেছেন।

আন্তর্জাতিক এসএমই দিবস উদযাপন অনুষ্ঠানটি গতকাল ২৯ জুন ২০২৫, রবিবার সকাল ১০.৩০ টায় ঢাকার আগারগাঁওস্থ বাংলাদেশ বিনিয়োগ উন্নয়ন কর্তৃপক্ষের (বিডা) অডিটোরিয়ামে আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। আজকের অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মাননীয় প্রধান উপদেষ্টা মহোদয়ের আন্তর্জাতিক বিষয় সংক্রান্ত বিশেষ দূত, বাংলাদেশ বিনিয়োগ উন্নয়ন কর্তৃপক্ষ (বিডা) সম্মানীত চেয়ারম্যান, শিল্প মন্ত্রণালয়ের সচিব এবং এই অনুষ্ঠান সভাপতিত্ব করেন এসএমই ফাউন্ডেশনের সম্মানীত চেয়ারপার্সন। অনুষ্ঠানটিতে বিভিন্ন মন্ত্রণালয় ও দপ্তরের প্রতিনিধি, গবেষক, অর্থনীতিবিদ, এবং বিভিন্ন দপ্তরের সম্মানীত অংশীজন অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন এইচডিআরসি'র প্রতিনিধিগণ এবং এইডিআরসি'র পক্ষ থেকে এই আয়োজন সংশ্লিষ্ট সকলকে কৃতজ্ঞতা এবং ধন্যবাদ!

এইচডিআরসি’র ছাদবাগান: এক টুকরো সবুজ স্বপ্ন

যেখানে শহর দিনদিন হয়ে উঠছে আরও ব্যস্ত, আরও যান্ত্রিক—সেখানে একটু সবুজ মানে অনেকটা স্বস্তি, অনেকটা প্রশান্তি। এইচডিআরসি অফিসের ছাদ যেন সেই স্বস্তিরই প্রতীক—এক টুকরো প্রাকৃতিক নিবাস, এক নিঃশব্দ সবুজ বিপ্লব।

ছাদবাগান শুধু এইচডিআরসি’র নান্দনিক সৌন্দর্যই নয়, এটি আমাদের একচেটিয়া পরিবেশ-চেতনারও প্রতীক। এই সবুজ জায়গাটি আমাদের শেখায়—প্রকৃতি যদি যত্ন পায়, সে ভালোবাসা ফিরিয়ে দেয় দ্বিগুণ করে।

আমরা এইচডিআরসি পরিবার বিশ্বাস করি, একটা গাছ মানে কেবল একটি প্রাণ নয়, এটি ভবিষ্যতের বীজ। আর সেই বিশ্বাসেই গড়ে উঠেছে এই ছাদবাগান—যা কেবল একটা সবুজ ছাদ নয়, বরং একটা জীবনবোধ!!
