Anterior pelvic tilt is not the issue.

The issue is being stuck and losing the ability to move side to side.

In a world where most people sit all day and barely move, it makes sense that so many have started blaming posture and labeling themselves as “anterior pelvic tilt.” This label alone doesn’t explain how your body actually functions.

If you’re extremely flexible but still feel tight, unstable, or broken, it’s not because you need more stretching!!!

It’s because the pelvis isn’t positioned well and the hamstrings aren’t doing their job anymore.

And for people who don’t know, I spent my childhood stretching as a gymnast and the as an Olympic weightlifter so not only does this post come from education but also from personal experience!!!

A question I get all the time is about rib cage flares 👀

People are always confused about why they happen and what to do to fix them.

Despite what you may think, rib flares are not random.
Nothing in the body is ever random 🧠

When the rib cage is flared upward and outward, the diaphragm is forced into a very sub-optimal position to breathe 😮‍💨

We also see rib flares show up in people who have lived in a chronic fight-or-flight state, especially when both sides are flared ⚡️

Car sickness is often a vision + vestibular system problem 👁️✨

When you are a passenger and your body is moving, your inner ear senses that motion. 🚗

But if your eyes are focused inside the car on your phone or a book or even out the side window, the visual system may signal something completely different. 📱

That conflict between what your eyes see and what your inner ear and body feel creates a sensory mismatch. Your nervous system reacts because the input does not match what your brain expects during motion. 🧠

This is why the dizziness and nausea and discomfort show up…… 🤮

Your visual system + vestibular system + body pattern are closely connected.

He lost both his uncle and his father to assassination, he has lived under constant public scrutiny, and he manages a neurological voice condition on top of years of physical and emotional strain.

When a system holds that much for that long, it is not surprising that the face shows it. His asymmetry is simply the imprint of a lifetime of overload.

Stress is not the ONLY cause…..😓

Your nervous system clenches/ grinds your teeth when your stress bucket is full from things like malocclusion, gut inflammation, airway issues, or alcohol (and honestly way more…!)

These are simple, natural, and they shift your entire baseline:

1️⃣ Morning sunlight in your eyes
2️⃣ Barefoot contact with the earth
3️⃣ Nasal breathing instead of mouth breathing
4️⃣ Swing your arms when you walk
5️⃣ Use incandescent bulbs instead of LED light
6️⃣ Drink clean, mineral-rich water

🦷 Teeth are not meant to be cemented still. They are part of a living system.

A permanent retainer stops natural cranial motion…..(among other negative things)

When your teeth cannot move, your cranium and cervical spine begin to compensate, often through jaw tension or neck tightness.

Posture trainers might make you look straighter, but they don’t actually fix anything. They force your body into a rigid position instead of teaching it how to move, alternate, and find balance on its own.

Here’s why they’re not good for you 👇

1️⃣ They push your body into extension, tightening your lower back and compressing your spine.
2️⃣ They prevent you from getting your ribs down, which limits breathing and core stability.
3️⃣ They push your head forward because of how they lock your ribcage and pelvis in place.
4️⃣ They stop your body from rotating and alternating, which is how you naturally move, walk, and stay pain-free.

Real posture change happens through awareness and retraining movement…..not by strapping your body into “good posture.”
