Dr. Els Colla is anesthesist, reanimatiearts en specialist intensieve zorgen, met zo’n 25 jaar ervaring. Bij Cosmipolis is zij de vaste anesthesist voor elke ingreep. Met een uitgesproken humane en holistische visie staat één principe altijd centraal: de veiligheid van de patiënt.

Dr. Colla begeleidt patiënten op een zachte, geruststellende manier doorheen de narcose en waakt over een pijnvrije en comfortabele passage tijdens chirurgische ingrepen, zodat patiënten zo weinig mogelijk fysieke of mentale ongemakken ervaren. Met heldere uitleg, rust en aandacht bouwt ze vertrouwen op en maakt ze er een erezaak van om uitstekend voor haar patiënten te zorgen.

Naast haar werk bij Cosmipolis zet Dr. Colla zich ook in als humanitair arts. Meerdere weken per jaar trekt ze naar Afrika om er, in situaties met beperkte middelen, anesthesie toe te dienen bij soms complexe maar levensveranderende operaties.

Dr. Els Colla is an anaesthetist, resuscitation physician and intensive care specialist with around 25 years of experience. At Cosmipolis, she is the dedicated in-house anaesthetist for every procedure. With a distinctly humane and holistic approach, one principle is always central: patient safety.

Dr. Colla guides patients gently and reassuringly through anaesthesia and ensures a comfortable, well-managed experience during surgical procedures, so patients experience as little physical or mental discomfort as possible. With clear explanations, calmness and attentive care, she builds trust and considers it a point of honour to take excellent care of her patients.

Alongside her work at Cosmipolis, Dr. Colla is also committed to humanitarian medicine. Several weeks each year, she travels to Africa to provide anaesthesia for sometimes complex, life-changing operations in settings with limited resources.
