Happy and proud to discover that Corriere della Sera, Italian newspaper, shared the results and trajectories of one of my research activities at the Università di Parma:

🚨 how effective can be, for health professionals , writing about their own intense and traumatic professional experiences to prevent exhaustion and burnout

Because wellbeing is individual and collective and we need to discover more and more effective tools and strategies to support it 💪💪

🤯🤯"I am in Burnout" 🤯🤯

This is a frequent self-diagnosis I come to work with in my practice.

In this Brussels environment, filled with expats leaving behind families and friends to follow professional realisation, the feeling of being stressed out and exhausted at work is a common reality 🥵

📣First advice
We need understand the difference between a syndrome characterized by feelings of energy depletion, mental distance from one’s job, and reduced professional efficacy and , a chronic overload linked to uncontrolled work conditions.

🍃We can be higlhly and chronically stressed but not in Burnout (and this IS a good news) 🍃

📣Second advice
We can learn to our also at work, not just relying on a break or a leave:

🚩Practicing
🚩Remembering why our work is for us
🚩Focusing on we are and what is outside the workplace

Working hard should not be confused with overworking at the expense of relationships and physical health. Workplace stressors include workloads, lack of social support, and conflicting demands or unclear performance expectations.

Most of the time when we feel overloaded with , and we want a we search a way out

Our system suggest, we should find a way

Here's what I came to understand with my studies and in my everyday

Take a deep and !

A chronic stress condition, makes us perceive intense suffering and pushes us with the urgency to free ourselves to be able to fully live our life. But it's just a matter of balance

Pablo Picasso said: “Good artists copy, great artists steal.” 🤭

This can be the key for inspiration and creativity, selecting elements from another artists work and incorporating it into their own unique mix of influences.

I am totally inspired by Kelly McGonigal fellow researcher and psychologist, whose amazing work of research scientific dissemination I incorporated to my practice.

I believe that it is possible to experience hope, joy, and meaning, even when things are difficult. And I believe that the best way to do this is to connect—with one another, and with something bigger than ourselves.
