Emergency Belgium

Emergency Belgium With your support, EMERGENCY has been treating a patient every minute since 1994. http://www.emergency.it/the-world-we-want-html

All EMERGENCY facilities are designed, built and run by specialized international personnel, who provide training for local staff. EMERGENCY practices a medicine based on Human Rights:
our Manifesto for a Human Rights based medicine declares that the "right to be cured" is a fundamental and inalienable right belonging to every member of the human family. Further, it calls for healthcare based on Equality, Quality and Social responsibility. In 2010, EMERGENCY promoted the manifesto "The world we want", asking for a fairer world.

The curtain has come down on a series of special evenings at the theatre, where every conversation and every small gesture made a difference.

From our information stand to behind the bar, it was a pleasure to meet so many of you, share EMERGENCY NGO's work, and connect around a common purpose.

A warm thank you to Gruppo teatrale Il Berretto for welcoming us, and to everyone who chose to support us with their time, their interest, or a donation.

Your support allows us to keep providing free, high-quality medical care to people who need it most.

We carry this energy forward, together 💙

In recent weeks, temperatures in have dropped to -20C. The freezing weather is paralysing the Donetsk region, where we have been expanding access to care since 2023 – including by reaching people directly in their homes.

“Energy infrastructure has become a systematic target of attacks, causing power blackouts and interruptions to electricity, water and gas supplies. The cold itself is becoming a real weapon of war against the civilian population,” says Luca Rifiorati, our Project Coordinator in Ukraine.

Homes, especially in remote villages, are cut off from essential services and transportation. People are attempting to cope with minimal wood and coal, and eating what little the land can still produce.

“In such intense cold, many people – especially the elderly and people with disabilities – give up on evacuating to safer areas, increasing their risk of becoming victims of attacks.”

In Ukraine, nearly 11 million people need humanitarian assistance. Winter is exacerbating an already dire situation.

Noweapon.world is coming to Brussels for its fourth edition.

An open call for artists is currently live: an opportunity to bring art and civic engagement together, because some messages do not need to be loud to be powerful.

The exhibition opens on 11 April at the Béguinage, and Emergency will be there. We will have our information booth ready to share more about our work and will briefly present our activities.

Art can open conversations. We are looking forward to being part of it.

Ogni gesto conta.

Continuiamo insieme 💙

December has arrived and so have our panettoni!

You can find them at Miranda Bruxelles in Rue du Page 38, a place that always welcomes you with great food and warm smiles. They’re open Tuesday to Thursday from 19 to 22, and on Friday and Saturday from 12 to 14 and 19 to 22.

The “Panettone Fatto per Bene” is much more than a fragrant Italian classic. It’s a simple and powerful way to support Emergency’s life saving projects, which provide free, high quality medical care to people affected by war, landmines and poverty.

Each panettone comes with a natural cotton shopper featuring an exclusive illustration by artist and musician Dario Sansone. A small touch that carries a big message: a clear no to war, and a reminder of the human value of giving.

Gifting this panettone means offering more than a festive treat. It’s a gesture of hope, solidarity and shared peace, bringing deeper meaning to the holiday season.

What a night! Thank you to everyone who came together last Saturday for Healthcare for Gaza & refugees.
It was an evening full of emotion and humanity, from the documentary to the shared dinner, the laughter, and the amazing music by Bai Kamara Jr. and Zaataric. Special thanks to Renata Kamara for her delicious food from Sierra Leone, to the House of Compassion for welcoming us, and to all the volunteers who made everything run so smoothly.
Most of all, thank you for bringing your presence, your energy, and your solidarity. Together, we turned an ordinary Saturday night into something that truly mattered!

Still smiling from last week’s Quiz Night at CoHop!
So many laughs, puzzled faces, wild guesses that somehow turned out right, and that brilliant mix of laughter, confusion and triumph at every table.

It was an evening of good questions and even better company, proof that solidarity can look a lot like a table full of friends, a pen, and a pint.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined, to CoHop for the warm welcome, and to our tireless volunteers for keeping everything running smoothly.
Every euro raised goes straight to EMERGENCY’s medical projects around the world, because fun nights can also help save lives.

Swipe through the photos, tag your quiz team, and relive the chaos.
Until next time, same place, new questions, same spirit.
