According to forecasts, the need for prosthetic arms and legs will only continue to grow by 2050. Yet for many, access to something as essential as a prosthesis remains out of reach.

At Ugani Foundation, we’re turning this challenge into action, funding access to prosthetic limbs and strengthening local capacities where the need is greatest.

Every donation, every share, every partnership matters.

At Ugani Foundation, we believe access to prosthetic care should not depend on geography or income. Through our programs across Africa and the Middle East, we help local clinics deliver full rehabilitation journeys, from 3D-printed prosthetics to physiotherapy and reintegration.

We’re now building long-term collaborations with companies and foundations that believe in health equity and inclusive technology. Together, we can scale sustainable care pathways and empower local rehabilitation services to change more lives.

🤝 Partner with us to scale impact. If your organization shares this vision, let’s co-fund care pathways and strengthen local prosthetic ecosystems.

⚖️ Access to prosthetics and orthotics is not charity — it’s a right.
Under the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), States Parties are required to take effective measures to ensure personal mobility — including access to mobility aids, assistive devices, and related support.

But rights without action are just words.

🌍 The reality is stark:

More than 2.5 billion people worldwide need at least one assistive product (such as prostheses, orthoses, wheelchairs, or hearing aids). Yet nearly one billion of them lack access to any.

In some low-income countries, as few as 3% of people who need assistive technology can obtain it.

Studies in low-resource contexts (e.g., Sierra Leone) show that many prosthetic/orthotic users lack access to medical care, maintenance, and repair services — undermining their broader rights to health, education, work, and social inclusion.

💪 At Ugani Foundation, we’re committed to turning this right into reality — one limb, one life, one step at a time.

We work every day with partners around the world to support those who cannot afford the mobility aids they need.

The lack of access to assistive devices, including prosthetics and orthotics, has a massive global impact. According to the WHO Global Report on Assistive Technology (2022), billions of dollars are lost each year due to reduced productivity and increased dependency — but behind these numbers are millions of people whose lives are limited by a lack of mobility and independence.

Without the devices they need, people face barriers to education, employment, and even basic daily activities.

Providing prosthetics and orthotics is more than an investment in economies — it’s an investment in people. Every device restores independence, dignity, and the opportunity to participate fully in society. Access to assistive technology transforms lives, giving people the freedom to move, work, learn, and thrive.

At Ugani Foundation, we focus on giving back and providing the support and care that is missing in many parts of the world. There is still much work to be done, and every contribution helps make a real difference.

In low-income countries, only 1 in 20 children who need assistive devices actually receive them.

This means missed education, limited mobility, and a reduced quality of life.
We at the Ugani Foundation, are trying to close that gap and give back to those that deserve it most.

We’re working to change that — one child at a time.

So make sure to follow and support our story so that we can continue to provide to those in need.

✨ Vivian is 10 years old. Bold, bright, and full of curiosity.
She was born with phocomelia, a rare condition that left one of her limbs severely underdeveloped. Everyday activities were a challenge.

After thoughtful guidance from her doctors and the loving support of her family, Vivian underwent an amputation that opened the door to new possibilities.

Today, thanks to a 3D-printed prosthetic limb made by Prothea Kenya using the Ugani workflow, Vivian is moving freely. Together, we helped create a solution that gave her more than mobility; it gave her joy, independence, and the simple childhood moments she deserves.

She’s back to doing what she loves:
Running with friends. Exploring the world. Wearing her favorite dresses and twirling in them.
For Vivian, this isn’t just about mobility. It’s about joy, confidence, and freedom.

And for us, it’s about one powerful truth:
Access changes everything.

This is why we do what we do.

After a devastating road accident, James faced the unimaginable: losing his mobility and the life he once knew. As a father of three, every step mattered, and the struggle was real. But with the support he received and a new prosthetic, James is not only walking again, he's reclaiming his independence and showing his children the true meaning of resilience.

Ending 2024 with a BANG – With the Support of Beast Philanthropy! 💪🎉

At the end of last year, Ugani Foundation received support from the one and only MrBeast to make 425 prosthetics—and we didn’t just meet that goal, we exceeded it!

Thanks to our unbeatable and transparent cost/impact ratio and the dedication of our global partners, we delivered 555 prosthetics out of the 2000+ in just 3 months to patients in low-income situations.

This is what happens when innovation meets purpose and collaboration. Huge thanks Beast Philanthropy and all our partners for making this possible. Let’s keep pushing boundaries and transforming lives!

In 2025, we’re setting our sights even higher—reaching more patients, expanding access to affordable, high-quality prosthetics, and continuing to create a world where mobility knows no limits.
