Hi everyone,

I’m fundraising for someone very dear to our family: Liseth.

Liseth is a hardworking mother in El Salvador who has shown extraordinary resilience in the face of circumstances far beyond her control. She cares for her young son with quiet strength and dignity, and despite very limited means, she has always done everything she can to build a stable future for him.

Over time, through years of saving every small amount she could, Liseth managed to purchase a small plot of land and begin building a modest home — not a luxury, just a safe, simple place her son can truly call home. It has been her biggest dream and the result of immense sacrifice.

Recently, unexpected personal circumstances have left her without the support she once had to continue the construction. For privacy and safety reasons, I cannot share all the details here, but please know this is a good family facing a very difficult situation with courage and integrity.

At the moment, the house is partially built. The materials are there, the structure has begun, but she simply does not have the financial means to finish it. Without help, the project risks remaining unfinished, and the opportunity for a secure home may slip away.

Those of us who live in or know El Salvador understand that poverty here can look very different from what many of us are used to in Europe or elsewhere. A modest, finished home is not just comfort — it is stability, safety, and dignity for a child growing up in a challenging environment.

Our family is already supporting Liseth as much as we can, including providing housing and daily assistance, but completing her home requires resources beyond what we alone can provide.

This fundraiser is not about charity in the abstract — it is about giving a devoted mother and her son the chance to live in their own safe, dignified space, built from years of effort and hope.

For full transparency, we will post regular updates on the funds received and exactly what they are being used for (materials, labour, and essential construction needs), so that everyone who contributes can clearly see the direct impact of their support.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward:

Basic construction materials
Finishing essential structural work
Making the home safe and livable for her and her child

Even a small donation can make a real, tangible difference.

If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this page would already mean so much.

Thank you for taking the time to read Liseth’s story and for helping us support a kind, hardworking mother who simply needs a fair chance to complete the home she has fought so hard to build.

We’ve added a reformer to the studio!

Strength training is still the foundation of what we do. Always will be. The reformer is simply another tool we use to improve movement quality, control and stability, especially when returning from injury, managing pain, or working around limitations.

Same philosophy. One more option! 💪

Five minutes can really make a difference
A recent article caught our eye: researchers found that adding just 5 minutes of exercise a day and sitting 30 minutes less is linked to better long-term health and lower risk of early death.
No extreme workouts. No “all or nothing” mindset.
Just small, realistic changes.
This is something we see every day in the studio. People don’t get healthier because they suddenly train like athletes, they get healthier because they move a bit more, more often, and build habits that actually fit into real life.
That’s why our focus is on:
✔️ consistent training
✔️ smart strength work
✔️ moving better, not just harder
If you’ve been thinking “I should do something, but I don’t have time”, this is your sign: small steps count more than you think!

Research finds minor changes in physical activity could hugely reduce number of premature deaths

**New Coach at Paul Tucker Personal Training**

We’re very happy to welcome Tanguy to our team.
Tanguy has been a CrossFit coach for more than ten years, working in several CrossFit gyms across Brussels and Waterloo. He also co-owned and managed CrossFit1815 for five years, where he helped grow a strong local community and significantly improved both the quality of the gym and member satisfaction.
In 2022, he decided to return fully to coaching because he missed the energy of working directly with clients — and that passion shows.
His philosophy is simple and effective: “eat healthy, lift heavy.” Tanguy is committed to helping clients get stronger, feel better, and reach their goals with a personalised and supportive approach.

Outside the gym, you’ll often find him behind a camera, capturing moments from CrossFit competitions or live concerts.

We’re excited to have him on board — join me in welcoming him to our studio!

This morning’s session wasn’t about lifting weights, but about understanding the numbers behind the training. We went through body composition, nutrition, hydration, and how all those little details connect to feeling stronger and healthier.
Coffee in hand, data on screen, a plan taking shape.

Willpower isn’t endless — plan like Ulysses

Ever heard of a Ulysses contract? It’s when you lock in a smart decision now to protect yourself from temptation later. It comes from the myth of Ulysses (aka Odysseus), who had his crew tie him to the mast so he wouldn’t jump overboard when he heard the deadly song of the Sirens.

Why do we need tricks like this? Because self-control takes energy. Resisting temptation, making tough decisions, taking initiative — it all draws from the same limited mental fuel. And once that fuel runs low, it gets much harder to stick to our goals.

Willpower isn’t just something we use — it’s something we lose.

That’s why planning ahead, building good systems, and setting boundaries isn’t weakness — it’s wisdom.

Did you know we humans benefit from a ligament way up at the back of our neck that no other ape, even chimp has. It’s called the nuchal ligament, and it has just one job: to hold the head steady while running!

Did you know your diet could influence more than just your waistline?

The rise of ultra-processed foods is not only affecting our health but even the shape of our jaws! Softer, easy-to-chew foods mean less work for our jaw muscles, potentially leading to narrower jaws and crowded teeth.

This is a reminder of how interconnected our habits are with our overall health. Prioritising whole, natural foods isn’t just about fitness—it’s about supporting your body in every way.

Let’s focus on strength, health, and balance—inside and out. 💪🍎

Study has linked a soft and liquid diet to smaller jaw size in children, but others say evolution is more likely the cause
