November so far, a dance on and off the mat, literally. Went day-dancing, movement for the entire body and heart. Days filled with cooking hot stuff, my body in need of heat… you feeling me? 🔥

A podcast recorded at Inside the Circle with amazing guests and cheeks that hurt from smiling throughout the whole conversation. A live breathwork and music session guided by the most talented friends. I even got to be their roadie for the day👯‍♀️

Gotta admit, I, too, have caught this hiking microbe, waking up early to see those northern lights and enjoying the little things, always.

Our focus of the month within my yoga tradition is called “rooted strength.”

When a seed germinates, the first thing it does is not send up shoots but send down roots. This movement toward the center of the Earth reminds us that, in nature, stability precedes expansion. The young sprout seeks the Earth’s core, anchoring itself before it ever reaches for light. In a similar way, Patañjali tells us that (spiritual) progress depends on practice that is firmly grounded — like a tree, rooted deeply before it reaches toward the blue sky.

Feeling such resonance with this one, rooting these days in slowing down to feel grounded & stability; not shooting up toward the blue sky, not yet, but almost☺️

We’re thrilled to bring our energy and podcast to this upcoming Friday!

TWBK Talks dives into conversations that explore balance, creativity, and mental health in the music industry and beyond. Through open dialogue, we aim to share fresh perspectives and real stories from inside the scene. Whether you’re an artist, organizer, or dedicated clubber, honest talks with gentle people!

For this edition, we’re inviting (.be) and .traum (.club) to join us at the conversation table.

Afterwards, we invite you to slow down and tune in with a breathwork and meditation session guided by our dear friends

Partners in life and music, Charlotte and Reinhard have always embraced new and exciting musical journeys. Currently, they’re developing science-based meditation music in collaboration with UGent (IPEM) and they’re excited to share the first results: a synced breathing exercise guided by music.

This immersive session will feature live music in their signature sound, a seamless blend of electronic and acoustic textures, elevated by Charlotte’s lush, soulful voice.

After composing the Sea, Sand & Sun meditations for WECANDANCE Festival 2023, the duo has continued to explore the intersection of sound, science, and well-being.

October - A long inhale of moving at the pace of autumn🍁

A sober October, yet not a slower one, Long walks, deep talks. Shorter days slumbering around, longer lingering mornings over coffee in bed.

Nurture & nature at their best, hot soup almost every day, framily moments to take a mental screenshot of.

Creating heat from the inside out with our moving practices to not only warm up the body but also the heart🙏

To say it in the words of this month’s Jivamukti Focus of the Month:

Yoga practices offer us a chance to become more balanced humans — to bring to our consciousness aspects of ourselves that were shrouded in our unconscious, to let go of the striving and stress associated with modern times and chaotic thinking. Consciously breathing and moving offers one way to calm the craziness within.

“Where the mind is stilled, there the breath is suspended. Where the breath is suspended, there the mind is stilled.”
— Hatha Yoga Pradipika 4.23

Let November be a long exhale of all the above (with a burst of good craziness now and then😊), while entering our last month in our studio at the Visserij.

Add to that a little pause in the present moment to soak it all up before a new breath naturally comes around again✨

When I run after what I think I want, my days are a furnace of distress.

If I sit in my own place of patience, what I need flows to me and without any disturbance.

From this I understand that what I want also wants me, is looking for me and attracting me.

There is a great secret in this for anyone who can grasp it - Rumi

And maybe somewhere in between there is a silver lining of JOY & contentment

September, leaving summer behind with its long evenings and warm breezes. Autumn steps quietly in with its golden light and shifting colors🍁

A month of filling ‘de vriendschaps-emmer’, Being part of my friends’ families and participating in a 1st September bringing the kids to school. Learned to play Manillen after 5 years in Ghent, it was about time. Poured my heart into our festival, long drives to Brussels because apart from being a teacher, I’m in the professional matchmaking industry these days. After those drives, enjoying long walks with sunset and sunrise, seeing the shift in colors and yes, still with a coffee before breakfast (sorry cortisol), champagne to celebrate live and plans for 2026 👯‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Taking the time to slow down (fewer projects) and make room for my own practice and teaching again, because let’s be honest: summer was buzzzzy🙏

These days I feel so deeply filled with peace and joy when I arrive at our JOY studio to teach. Week after week, I’m welcomed by familiar faces showing up on their mats, doing this dance of breath and movement. Teaching has become second nature to me, but it’s also so much more. It’s the feeling of truly belonging with these people in a moment of togetherness.

Realizing everything is always better together, always🙏

September, leaving summer behind with its long evenings and warm breezes. Autumn steps quietly in with its golden light and shifting colors🍁

A month of filling ‘de vriendschaps-emmer’ it really is a thing. Being part of my friends’ families and participating in a 1st September bringing the kids to school. Learned to play Manillen after 5 years in Ghent, it was about time. I little something that was on my mind lately.

As a teacher, my calling is service.
My energy flows into my students: into creating thoughtful sequences, guiding safely, holding space with compassion and sharing the deeper benefits of yoga and Pilates.

I pour passion into the process of teaching, because I believe these practices have the power to reconnect us with our bodies and open the heart (cheesyyy but so true)❤️

I choose not to post my own practice online because I don’t want the focus to be on how something looks. Instead, I want to encourage you to feel: to feel those physical connections, to explore in your own body with whatever is present that day. To experience those small epiphanies that arrive when it all comes together✨

Yoga and Pilates are not about performance, they are about presence, discovery and playfulness

These words are coming from a place of non-judgment. Every teacher and practitioner has their own way of sharing and that is something I respect deeply, no shaming here, I am a true believer in the ‘you do you’ principle✌️

From my own experience and believe, my practice belongs in the lived moment not in instagram sketches. That quiet, personal space is what nourishes me so that I can show up fully for you🧘

That said I have some real gems for you of me in that present moment, cause there is also so much laughter in movement practices, promised 😂😂

Why do a retreat? A week of leaving everything behind and get in that state of flow.

For us, that is truly the biggest gift you can give to yourself ✨

Still, there are many other reasons why you should join:

Reconnect with your body: Pause, breathe, and move, whether on your mat, surfing the waves of water, or walking in the mountains.

Restore Balance: A blend of movement and yet do everything at a slower pace, it is all about harmony.

Be Mindful: Immerse yourself in the present moment through various practices like creativity, surfing, walks along the beach, tasting delicious food, take time to do things mindfully.

Nourish Yourself: The best meals = the body is our temple

Real connections with real people

Prioritize Self-Care: Enjoy well-being through spa treatments, nature walks or simply me-time with a book on a terrace overlooking the waves and mountains.

Feel, just feel: Experience the nurturing effects of nature and allow yourself to be carried away.

We don’t believe in dogmas. There is a lot of laughter, next to creativity and movement practices while embarking on a JOY retreat.
