✨ The first yoga class in 2024 to kickstart the year

I'm glad to be posting here again because it means that I'm ready to teach yoga!

As we embark on a new year filled with endless possibilities, I am thrilled to announce a special yoga class to kickstart 2024. This class will also celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in my life and the transformative journey of becoming a mother. Each of us is undergoing a unique transformation, and it is essential to recognize and trust that these changes are not only necessary but also vital for our growth.

👉Join me on Sunday, January 14th, from 10 to 11 am, either online or in person at our yoga loft, for a rejuvenating Hatha Yoga class. Together, we will explore the theme of 💗Trust & Transformation💗 acknowledging that even though change can be challenging, it is a crucial catalyst for our personal evolution. This class aims to cultivate gratitude for the transformations we experience, fostering a sense of acceptance and appreciation for the paths that unfold before us.

The session will conclude with a soothing Yoga Nidra,🙏🏻 allowing us to reconnect with ourselves and listen to the wisdom of our hearts.

💞Life is a beautiful chaos 💫

Today is exactly three months since in just one night my life and my husband's turned into a beautiful chaos... Today our divine daughter Diana, born on July 21, turns three months! ✨

The 'fourth trimester' is over and I decided to make the news public.

At this moment, the yoga and mindfulness classes are on hold. My husband and I dived deep into parenthood, and can only keep our personal yoga and meditation practice, which I think is already an achievement 🤗

We plan to restart teaching in 2024, probably the beginning of it, but it is still to be seen. The baby will decide when and how 💗

Until then, I would like to offer you free access to my Free Flow Yoga bundle with nine yoga class recordings that target different body parts and vary in length (from 15 minutes to one hour). I'm sure you can find something you like and will keep practising with me until we meet again.

This is me teaching an 8-week mindfulness course last year.

As you see, during the course we also cover a topic of stress reaction, and so much more!

This was in Brussels last fall. And now I m organising a new course in Ghent, starting May 3!

An 8-week mindfulness course is not a “quick fix”, nor is it a miracle cure for just about everything. It is a training programme, in which you will learn mental skills and develop new habits and attitudes to deal more skilfully with the challenges of life.

You discover how you unknowingly contribute to your stress and unhappiness. By putting in some practice, you can learn new and more helpful ways of dealing with difficult situations.

💫 Programme includes:💫

✅ 8 weekly classes: on Wednesday evenings, from 19.00 to 21:30. Dates: May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, June 7, 14, 21

✅ Day of Mindfulness: full-day retreat on Sunday from 10.00 to 16.30, on June 4

About ENERGY

Yesterday I was asked: If I could describe 2022 in one word, which word would it be?

The word that came up instantly is ENERGY ⚡⚡⚡

In 2022, I experienced everything that is connected to my personal energy, whether it was physical, mental or emotional.

Often I had no energy, or a lack of it. It was stuck or blocked.

It was sometimes positive & light, coming from kind people and events. Sometime it was negative and dark.

Some people stole my energy by manipulating me and pushing my pity and empathy buttons. Yes, I had an encounter with a very strong energy vampire 🧛‍♀️

I was learning to survive on minimal energy. To conserve, to keep it for myself.

I was also giving more than receiving, so had to learn to say NO and protect my energy.

I experienced the healing energy of yoga and meditation, and some magical places (Portugal stole my heart 🇵🇹)

I had a great energy exchange with lovely soul sisters 💕

I know what is energy of hate and anger but luckily also the energy of love and compassion 💚

💫 My main lesson of 2022: take care of your energy! Protect and nurture it. You can't give when you don't have enough. But also allow positive energy of others ro support you when it is difficult.

😴 Workshop 'Learn to relax with Yoga Nidra'

'Relax for once!' Do you hear that often?

Because you don't sleep well, you worry and don't find peace. Of course, you know that relaxing can help, but how? Maybe you could try Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is a superb technique to teach yourself step by step to experience deep relaxation. It is a form of yogic meditation in which you stay awake and simultaneously experience the benefits of sleep. An empty head, soft arms and legs, relaxed back and shoulders, and you don't have to do anything. Just lie on your back with a blanket. My warm and skilful voice will take you away on a journey to relaxation.

In this 1,5 hour workshop, we will practice the yoga Nidra technique and also explore why it works so well in relaxing the body and mind. After the workshop, you will receive a printed one-page handout with essential information about Yoga Nidra.

To remember during the bad days

It won't last.

You have felt other things. You will feel other things again.

Emotions are like weather. They change and shift. Clouds can seem as still as stone. We look at them and hardly notice a change at all. And yet they always move.

The worst part of any experience is the part where you feel like you can't take it any more. So if you feel like you can't take it any more, the chances are you are already at the worst point. The only feeling you have left to experience are better than this one.

You are still here. And that is everything.

🙏🏻 Deep Rest yoga series is back!

As of September 28, I'm starting a short series of five online classes, Deep Rest, on Wednesday evenings. I'm very excited to relaunch this series.

In this mini-series, we will focus on relaxing your body and mind.

The classes include breathing practices, hatha yoga, elements of mindfulness and yoga Nidra techniques. Anyone who can lay on the back can join the class.

Benefits of the classes:

💚 Relax your body
💚 Release mental pressure
💚 Reduce stress and anxiety
💚 Replenish your energy

This is the perfect class to do right before sleep as a part of your evening routine.

What to expect?
Each of these 60-min classes will focus on a different element of relaxation. We will start the class with breathing practice, and then continue with gentle and mindful yoga to reconnect with the body, quiet the mind and become fully present. From thereon, we will continue with the Yoga Nidra practice. While you will rest comfortably on your back on the floor or on your bed/sofa, I will take you through guided meditation & visualisation with my voice.

These are live online classes (on Zoom), which you can follow from the comfort of your home (or even your bed!)

On September 21, we officially welcome the new season. Hello, autumn! 🍂 I missed you.

We were blessed to enjoy a sunny summer, and now it's time for something else.

Autumn is not summer. It is rainy, cosy and yet beautiful. Autumn is for reflection and introspection. So don't blame the season for being different from the previous one. Find what it can mean for you. For me, autumn is the time to look inwards.

Let's greet this season together - with a free yoga class!

I invite you to join my online 😴Deep Rest yoga class 😴 on Wednesday evening. It is open and free for everyone, and it doesn't matter if you have a yoga experience or not. Take this one hour for yourself to relax and rest in the cosiness of your home. You are so welcome to join!

🙏🏻What is Deep Rest? 
This class combines breathing practices, gentle hatha yoga and yoga Nidra practice. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation, and if you have never practised it before, this is the time 😍

⏳When? 
This Wednesday, September 21, from 20:45 till 21:45. After the class, just roll into your bed and sleep like a baby

📍Where? 
Online via Zoom from the comfort of your home. You will receive the access link 30 min before the class. There will be no recording for this class, so please join us live.

📝What do you need? 
A (yoga) mat or a rug, a pillow, blankets, and warm socks. You can do the yoga Nidra part on your bed even. You can join the class in your pyjamas!

💚 The class is free, but registration is required.

Invitation to experience mindfulness

I'm writing this from Brasov, a beautiful town in Romania. I'm deeply grateful for my holiday here in a stunning mountainous area. Nothing can heal and recharge me more than being in nature, especially in the forest 🌲. These days I take things slow; I don't rush to see everything and tick all the boxes as a tourist. Life is about savouring experiences, not to-do lists.

I'm taking these two precious weeks off to replenish myself, to take time to contemplate the future, and rest before September takes off. As I get my energy back, I'm happy to share it with others through new yoga classes and mindfulness courses.
