Water is one of the most valuable elements at Waer Waters. It warms, relaxes and restores balance — but it also asks for care. That’s why we’ve been taking steps for years to reduce our impact and use the resources that shape our experience more thoughtfully.
Our renewed water management system is the next step in that broader vision.

What is changing?
As part of our planned expansion, we have submitted an additional permit application for a new and more efficient water management system on our site. In concrete terms, this means:

- Rainwater will be fully collected and infiltrated on-site, even during heavy rainfall.
- Four new rainwater infiltration basins will support natural infiltration.
- Our rainwater tank will increase from 100 m³ to 320 m³, allowing us to buffer and reuse more water.
- A new installation will purify wastewater to drinking-water quality, reducing outflow to the sewer system to just 20%.
- Wherever possible, we reuse existing pipes and buffers to limit the impact of the works.

This project is not a standalone initiative, but a conscious step in our long-term vision to let Waer Waters grow with respect for water, nature and the experience we offer.

The aufguss ritual has its roots in centuries of Nordic and Central European tradition. In Finland and Germany, where sauna culture is a way of life, aufguss — “infusion” — has always been more than heat alone. Water and essential oils poured over hot stones create waves of steam, guided by rhythm and breath.

As the body enters hyperthermia, pores open, toxins are released, and sweat cleanses the skin. This light feverish state strengthens the immune system while guiding the mind into calm. Essential oils deepen the effect: pine and sandalwood for grounding, lavender and chamomile for relaxation, eucalyptus and citrus for invigoration.

Then comes the contrast. Cold plunges, ice buckets, or waterfalls release adrenaline, sharpen focus, and complete the thermal cycle: hot, cold, rest. In the final stage — lying back, heart rate slowing — endorphins rise and the body resets.
