Researchers from the lab of Wim Versées (VIB -VUB Center for Structural Biology) in collaboration with the Verstreken lab present the three-dimensional structure of Synaptojanin1, an enzyme involved in Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, and Down syndrome.

our latest work by Kevin Luthy (now in Nijmegen) just came online at Brain. We show how new human mutations in the TLDc domain of the portein TBC1D24 (in fruit flies called "Skywalker") are important for synaptic ROS sensing and a movement disorder in patients.
