Our thoughts are with all those affected by the tragic fire in Crans-Montana.

The European Resuscitation Council stands in full solidarity with Switzerland and its emergency, healthcare, and civil protection services during this difficult time.

We also wish to express our sincere gratitude to all personnel involved in the response: first responders, emergency medical teams, hospital staff, civil protection units, transport teams, and volunteers. Their professionalism, dedication, and commitment under extremely challenging circumstances have been essential in ensuring timely care and saving lives.

We acknowledge and commend the coordinated European response that has enabled the rapid evacuation of patients for specialised burn care across multiple countries. This collective effort reflects the strength of cross-border cooperation and the shared commitment to ensuring access to the highest level of care when it is most needed.

💙 At ERC, we are engaged in numerous advocacy projects aimed at making resuscitation accessible to a larger group of people, ideally everyone, and to create a community that knows how to perform basic CPR resuscitation to save more lives.❤️
