The basics stay the basics.❗⚽
Because of social media, our view of what the “right exercises” are has become distorted.
We see too many flashy, fancy drills that get a lot of clicks — but don’t actually help you progress as an athlete.
The basics must remain the basics.
Gym work and speed training are support tools to develop your physical capacities as a footballer — not a replacement.
The most important things are still:
* Training on the pitch
* Matches
* Everything that comes with them
If extra training makes you stiff, increases fatigue, or even reduces your recovery, then you’re doing it wrong.
It’s an addition — not a substitute. You get my point.
But does physical training matter? Absolutely.
Strength training and efficient running mechanics have been proven to:
* Reduce injury risk
* Optimize on-field performance
You move for about **87 minutes without the ball
So ask yourself:
* How will you create space?
* How will you handle repeated high-intensity runs?
* How will you attack spaces or win duels?
That’s exactly why we train the body’s physical qualities.
