Recap •TRAUMA • November

Last weekend, we dedicated two days to deepening our approach to dental trauma.

🦷 With Alexander Schrijvers, we explored the latest evidence-based protocols for managing enamel and root fractures, luxations and avulsions — delivered in a clear and highly practical way.

✨ Together with Simone Moretto, we also took a deep dive into composite restorations. As the most widely used restorative material, composites remain essential, and the group learned key principles and hands-on techniques to achieve precise, predictable and aesthetic results.

A practice-oriented program that strengthened clinical confidence and elevated the participants’ trauma workflow.

We are excited to welcome Anne Frankemölle from 🇩🇪 to the 2026 Ibiza Education Retreat 🙌

Anne will share her vision of modern esthetic dentistry and her passion for creating harmony between function, beauty, and nature.

For more than eight years, Anne has been part of a high-end clinic for esthetic dentistry in Germany, where she has specialized in advanced prosthodontics. Her clinical focus lies in high-precision ceramic work with a particular love for non-prep veneers and naturally inspired ceramic artistry.

Holding a Master’s degree in Implantology and Periodontology, she combines both the “white” and the “pink” aspects of aesthetic dentistry, with special expertise in soft-tissue management and mucogingival surgery. This comprehensive approach allows her to create restorations that integrate seamlessly into each patient’s unique biology.

For many years, she has worked closely with master dental technician Patrick Heidt, forming a strong interdisciplinary partnership known for meticulous attention to detail and for creating results that make patients truly happy. Together with the talented team at Kleinsman Varzideh she contributes to a practice environment that strives for excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care every single day.

In 2025, she took the stage alongside Richard Kleinsmann to present a lecture on non-prep veneers at the prestigious European Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (EAED)—a milestone that reflects her growing impact within the field of esthetic dentistry.

Meet Patrick Heidt, a brilliant speaker we’re honored to welcome to the 2026 Ibiza Education Retreat!

Patrick Heidt, dental technician, completed his training in 2008.
He joined Kleinsman/Varzideh Dental Center in 2013, where he discovered his passion for ceramic restorations.
In 2024, Patrick opened his own laboratory together with his partner Marcus Hüssen in their hometown. From there, they collaborate with dentists from all over the world.

Patrick's focus is on natural and harmonious ceramic restoration of teeth and a harmonious appearance. Using the interplay of light and shadow, opacity and translucency, brightness and hue, he creates a natural appearance with hand-layered ceramic veneers.

He has published two booklets illustrating his layering technique for front teeth, which have been distributed to dental technicians all around the world.

Patrick is an opinion leader at Willi Geller Creation and gives courses and training sessions at an international level.

Excited to welcome once again to the Ibiza Education Retreat, Freek Gols Linthorst (NL). Freek joined us for IER21 and we are so happy to have him back for IER26 🙌

Freek Gols Linthorst, DDS, graduated from Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands, where his lifelong passion for drawing and painting naturally evolved into a devotion to aesthetic and restorative dentistry. His work reflects the harmony between science, precision and art, always with respect for the tooth and the person behind the smile.

A partner at ACCT Amsterdam, Freek’s clinical focus spans from direct composite artistry to complex restorative and ceramic treatments. His approach is rooted in minimal invasiveness, craftsmanship and a deep understanding of morphology and light.

Together with Rhodri Thomas, he developed a new composite layering method that combines artistry with predictability, expanding the possibilities of aesthetic dentistry. Freek lectures internationally and teaches dentists how to translate artistic vision into clinical excellence.

He is also the author of a book on dental morphology, combining his artistic background with practical guidance for clinicians who want to refine their eye and elevate their work.

🌴🔥We are excited to welcome Rhodri Thomas from 🇬🇧 at IER26, where he will share his vision of creating beauty by recreating nature.

Rhodri, BDS (Hons), graduated with Honours from Cardiff University, where his artistic background inspired a dedication to aesthetic dentistry. His clinical focus is on advanced restorative techniques that harmonize seamlessly with nature.

For more than a decade, Rhodri has been an internationally recognised educator, lecturing and teaching on aesthetic dentistry across the world. Every year he teaches in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Miami, London and Toronto. He was awarded the British Society of Prosthodontics Heraeus Kulzer Prize for his research on tooth wear, has pioneered two resin layering techniques, including one with Freek Gols Linsthorst, a denture impression technique and has developed multiple composite resins and an instrument. He is also the author of several books on composite artistry.

He's currently a part of the teaching faculty at The Center for Esthetic Excellence (Chicago) and for Stribe Dental (Los Angeles), and he is the Founder and Director of The Art of Dentistry his own international series of hands-on training programmes that have transformed the skills of thousands of dentists worldwide.

At the heart of his philosophy is a simple belief: Every clinician has a natural creative ability inside of them and enjoys nothing more than helping to ignite it.
