Maximise the sustainability impact by choosing the right solution from the start

The lifespan of an interior design solution is largely determined even before it is put into use, during the early planning stages. Choosing the right solution from the outset means furniture that lasts longer, works better in everyday use and does not need to be replaced prematurely.

Sustainability is not only about the environment, it is also about people.

Last spring, in collaboration with Campus Värnamo, we offered a course in industrial Swedish for our employees in Skillingaryd.
The course gave participants practical tools for everyday work and strengthened their confidence. They say they now feel more secure, dare to ask questions and have built stronger networks with colleagues.

Small initiatives like these make a big difference to the working environment and the sense of community at the workplace.

From April 2025, we only refuel with Nordic Swan Ecolabelled, renewable fuel at our station in Kinnarp 🚛

The new fuel reduces CO₂ emissions by as much as 90% compared to traditional diesel, and by 17% compared to the fuel we previously used.

For you as a customer, this means an even smaller climate footprint for your deliveries.

On to new (short term) goals!

Our short term sustainability targets ran until 2025, so to keep driving our work forward, we have now set new ambitious goals for 2030.

These include targets for the share of recycled plastic in our own production, material efficiency for metal, and the number of eco labelled products.

Together with you as a customer, we continue our journey towards net zero emissions by 2050.

Why choose furniture made in Sweden?

When our furniture is produced in Sweden, we have full insight into the entire production chain. This allows us to ensure fair working conditions, while also creating jobs and building expertise locally.

In Sweden, electricity is largely fossil free. This contributes to a lower climate footprint already at the production stage, compared with manufacturing in countries that rely more heavily on fossil energy.

For you as a customer, this means furniture that is developed and produced close to you, with control, transparency and lower emissions from the very beginning.

FSC® makes it easier to choose responsible materials

We offer more than 140 furniture ranges with FSC® labelled products. This makes it easier for you as a customer to set requirements without having to compromise on quality or design.

By choosing FSC®, you help ensure that the wood raw material comes from responsibly managed forests, with consideration for people, biodiversity and the forest’s long term ability to regenerate.

Today, 99 percent of all the wood raw material we use is FSC® certified, and the work continues towards our goal of reaching 100 percent by 2030.

Fossil-free energy makes a difference in every interior project.

This year, we reached 78% fossil-free energy across our entire operations. This includes everything from manufacturing and heating to the transports that take the furniture all the way to the customer.

This strengthens an advantage we already have: thanks to manufacturing in Sweden, where electricity is almost entirely fossil-free, climate impact is lower from the very start. For our customers, this is clearly reflected in the climate calculation.

Did you know that you can often replace parts instead of the entire piece of furniture? We can help you!

Many items of furniture are replaced unnecessarily. Often, replacing a single part is enough to significantly extend the life of the furniture. This could be something as simple as fitting new armrests to a task chair, or replacing the upholstery on a well used sofa.

We are happy to visit you and review your spaces on site. It saves resources, reduces waste and creates work environments that last over time.

"More than halved emissions — this year’s sustainability report is here!

Our sustainability work is what enables our customers to rely on furniture that lasts over time, materials free from harmful substances, lower emissions throughout the supply chain and environments that support health and performance.

This year's sustainability report is now available, and one of the milestones you will find there is that we have now more than halved our greenhouse gas emissions since 2019. This is the result of intensive work on efficiency improvements and a transition to more fossil-free energy and circular flows.

This means we are achieving one of our goals for 2030 and taking a step closer to net-zero emissions by 2050.
