It is fine to stick with a yoga style which feels good to you, but it is beneficial to occasionally try other styles too.

Throughout yoga tradition, you might hear some teachers claiming their system is best and even discourage you from trying new things. Because of lineage, peer pressure,
profit or fear of being outcast from the group.

However, we can benefit from an open mind by expanding our experience to other styles. Helping us to grow, by embracing and reflecting on a broader scope of yoga practice aspects.

After all, a caged bird can't fly.

The Ashtanga Intermediate Series isn’t just about deeper backbends or fancy asanas. It’s where the practice really tests the ego.

The mind wants to prove and push while the body meets its limits and the breath reveals resistance. The lesson is in the softening — learning to surrender, to step back, to listen instead of to conquer.

Every fall, every fail, every day the body says “not today” is humbling.

The practice doesn’t ask, “Can you master the posture?”
It whispers, “Can you accept yourself exactly as you are today?”
