Sewing my way into summer ☀️
Since the start of the linkparty, I saw so many beautiful Maela versions, but the fishnet one from the magazine really stuck with me.
I had this leftover floral guipure lace in my stash and knew it would be perfect. I used the scalloped edge as the hem and finished the neckline with bias binding for a cleaner, more refined look.
Maela is such a fun, sleeveless top, originally designed for knits, but it works beautifully in wovens too. Perfect for playing with textures and finishes, especially in sheer fabrics.
This one is definitely coming with me in my suitcase this summer ☀️
And I’m already dreaming of a next version… maybe in jacquard.
