Royal Bahrain Hospital (RBH) is a multi-specialty facility offering a range of services across 30 medical disciplines. Backed by the latest technology and medical equipment, its outpatient department provides a wide selection of specialities and a variety of consultation and treatment services on top of numerous day-care procedures, all supported by an impressive roster of international medical professionals.
The 24-hour clinic houses triage and observation beds and is prepared to handle day-to-day emergencies and trauma. Ambulances, equipped with a modern mobile ICU, are also available round the clock.
The hospital’s contemporary laboratory provides a range of services such as clinical pathology, microbiology, blood chemistry, haematology and blood coagulation studies, immunology and endocrine tests.
The advanced radiology department houses high-end equipment that include a 1.5 Tesla Wide Bore MRI machine, a 16-slice CT scan machine, 3D and 4D Ultrasound imaging, X-Ray and a picture archiving and imaging system.
State-of-the-art operating theatres make up the surgical department of the hospital, containing laminar flow systems fitted with HEPA filters to create an infection-free environment. General procedures in addition to the latest in endoscopic and laparoscopic surgeries are performed.
The eight-bed intensive care unit (ICU) includes an isolation bed for infectious patients. There is also a four-bed post-unaesthetic care unit and a neonatal ICU. The department is fitted with high-end mechanical ventilators, for artificial respiration, in addition to a positive-pressure isolation room.
With 65 beds the inpatient department offers a selection of luxury standard and suite rooms. A Royal Suite is also available as well as an indoor healing garden. The range of services includes healthy meals designed by a licensed nutritionist to aid recovery.
HomeCare services are also available including, doctor and nurse visits, lab sample collection, delivery of medicine, care for the elderly and physiotherapy sessions.
Facilities additionally include the fully equipped physiotherapy unit with a multi-purpose gym, the Alice V Sleep Lab and an in-house pharmacy.
In addition, Royal Bahrain Hospital has raised the bar in healthcare quality standards by achieving Diamond Status – the highest level available – in NHRA (National Health Regulatory Authority) accreditation. This demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to the people of Bahrain and the region in providing the highest quality of healthcare.
