Our mission:
The RootOfVodun Tour Group's mission is to reunite, re-educate and re-establish Africans in the diaspora through the true culture of their people, Vodun. The Ancestors of many Africans around the world have been enslaved and colonized in the past, leaving them and their descendants disconnected from their country and culture. In recent years, there has been a considerable increase in DNA testing, revealing the desire of these descendants to connect with the land and culture of their Ancestors. The goal of the RootOfVodun Tour Group is to rebuild this link between Africa and its people by creating a tour program that will guide all Africans to their home country. This program will include food, accommodation, trips to various Vodun festivals throughout Benin where you will attend ceremonies, rituals and divinations for local communities. The goal of our educational programs is to re-educate Africans in the diaspora about Vodun (Voodoo Vaudou Vodoun),, the original culture of their people and the lifestyles of African society, and to foster African pride and unity for Africans in the Diaspora. Led by Vodun's Supreme Spiritual Leader in Benin, DADA DAAGBO HOUNON HOUNNA II, the RootOfVodun Tour, through its touring and educational programs, aims to re-establish Africa's love for its people, hearts and minds.
