Since they have small bodies, limited energy reserves, and high metabolisms, Yorkie pups may drop their blood sugar more easily—especially if they skip a meal, get overtired, are stressed, or aren’t eating well. Signs can include weakness, shakiness/trembling, wobbliness, acting “spacey,” unusual sleepiness, or just not acting like themselves. This can become serious quickly in very small puppies.

Consistent meals and routines are important, and young toy-breed puppies often do best with small, frequent feedings and careful monitoring of appetite and energy.
📞 If your Yorkie puppy seems weak, shaky, or “off,” call (441) 236-3292 right away so we can guide you on next steps.

As they grow, pigment develops in the iris and their eye color often begins changing around 6–10 weeks (sometimes continuing for a few months). Some pets keep blue eyes into adulthood, but for many, those baby blues gradually shift to green, amber, hazel, or brown. What color are your pet's eyes?

Dogs are incredible creatures, and their instinct to hide pain is a testament to their survival instincts. In the wild, showing vulnerability can make them prey. Limping, slowing down on walks, trouble jumping, changes in appetite, or increased irritability can all be quiet signals that something isn’t right. Even small behavior changes may indicate injury, arthritis, or illness. Early evaluation can make a big difference in your dog’s comfort and recovery.
📞 If you notice any changes in your pet's routine, contact us at (441) 236-3292.

The inner ear helps control coordination, posture, and head position, allowing cats to land on their feet and move gracefully. When this system is disrupted, cats may appear unsteady, tilt their head, walk in circles, or struggle to jump. Balance problems can signal ear infections, neurological conditions, injury, or toxin exposure and should never be ignored.
⚠️ If your cat seems off balance or disoriented, call (441) 236-3292 right away.
