Body Lockdown – B***y Breakout!

The Bermuda Government announced yesterday that we are required to remain ‘locked-down’ in our homes for the next two weeks.

What a fantastic opportunity this could be to provide increased oxygen to our anxious, stressed out bodies.

And at the same time reduce the risk of breast cancer, hypertension, and susceptibility to a certain virus that likes to challenge the lungs.

What am I talking about?

I’m talking about:
• Relieving our overworked, underappreciated diaphragm so that more oxygen can be delivered to the lungs and circulated around the body.

• Kick starting a natural organ massage, allowing for healing energy to flow where we really need it.

• Freedom for the lymphatic system to do what it’s designed to do, which includes removing unwanted toxins and viruses from the body.

What am I proposing?

I’m proposing something VERY simple, something that no-one needs to know about unless you choose to tell them.

I’m proposing something that will make you feel energized and free.

It’s time to let the girls out girls!

Join me for the next two weeks in allowing the bo***es to breakout of that tight fitting, circulation stopping, health cheating bra that we’ve been socially required to wear since teenagers.

Free up your ribcage, learn to breathe more deeply and notice how much calmer and energized you feel.

The B***y Breakout begins Saturday at 10am Bermuda time.

Please join me for a FREE short zoom meeting where I’ll quickly explain basic breathing anatomy and function and why this is such a GREAT idea.

Whatever's inside WILL come out.

You're holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

'Well because someone bumped into me, of course!'

Wrong answer.

You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup. Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.

i.e.: Whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out.

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out.

It's easy to fake it, until we get rattled.

So we have to ask ourselves... 'what's in my cup?'

When life gets tough, what spills over?

Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility?

Or anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions?

You choose!

Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation for ourselves; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Peace.

Scientific Stretching Workshop

Almost everyone can benefit from stretching.

Flexible people tend to enjoy stretching but for those of us that aren’t flexible the thought of stretching can be quite discouraging especially whilst watching well-limbered others!

Many people also waste time stretching muscles that don’t need to be stretched but then don’t stretch the ones that do.

Everyone is different, which means there isn’t one stretch program that fits all.

Regular stretching can provide for better movement quality through:

· Increased energy
· Improved sports performance
· Injury prevention
· Joint integrity and increased range of motion

The Scientific Stretching workshop provides education on:

· Various stretching techniques
· How to differentiate which muscles need stretching and which don’t
· How to sequence your stretches for improved flexibility
· How to comprise your own personal stretch routine

This workshop is suitable for anyone that:

· Never stretches but knows they should
· Keeps getting injured
· Wants to tune up their current stretching program

If you would like to understand a better approach to stretching and gain tools for improved flexibility please e-mail your interest to Judith at: ju@transact.bm

When: Saturday March 3rd, 2018
Where: CatKnap
Time: 1:00pm until 3:00pm
Investment: $50

I'll look forward to seeing you then.

Judith

A Plastic Sea
This week I bought chicken from the grocery store.

It was vacuum packed in plastic and then un-necessarily presented on a plastic tray with another un-necessary layer of plastic covering it.

When I asked the grocery store manager why they were wasting so much plastic his response was that the product is easier to display in the tray.

I still bought the product but after watching this (11 minute) video I feel that I need to make a better stand.

We all need to make a better stand.

Let's actively strive to stop using single-use plastics.

Let's actively stop buying products that are un-necessarily wrapped.

Let's make a difference together.

Read It Before You Eat It!

Recently a client complained that he felt tired, sluggish, bloated and achy.

I asked him what he'd eaten.

His response was that he'd eaten nothing different other than a healthy meal-replacement bar as an afternoon snack.

When he told me the name of this health bar, I decided to do a little research on the product.

And as suspected I learned that this healthy meal replacement wasn't quite so healthy after all.

On the label the product announces that it is full of nutrition with 10 grams of protein, gluten free, non-GMO and is a great meal replacement.

I beg to differ...!

The labels' nutritional breakdown suggested that the bar had a total of 390 calories with 43 grams of carbohydrate of which 21 grams were sugar and 6 grams were fiber. The bar also boasted 10 grams of protein and 22 grams of fat.

Below are just six of the products' ingredients (there were 27 ingredients in total)!

Tapioca Syrup (a.k.a. sugar)
Cane Syrup (a.k.a. sugar)
Chocolate liquor (a.k.a. sugar)
Agave (a.k.a. sugar)
Rice syrup (a.k.a. sugar)
Molasses (a.k.a. sugar)

Another ingredient listed was canola oil...!

Is it any wonder that he felt tired, sluggish, bloated and achy after eating this candy bar?

Yes, candy bar - that's exactly what it was albeit disguised as a healthy meal by wearing a flashy label touting its fake health benefits on the front whilst hiding its true nature on the back, in tiny print may I add!

Here's an example of a better option - a real meal: 3oz chicken thigh, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, half a cup of cauliflower and half a cup of broccoli (four ingredients in total).

This plate of food, notice no fancy label, comprises a good 450 calories with 7 grams of carbohydrate, of which zero grams are sugar and 4 grams are fiber. It can boast 24 grams of protein and 40 grams of good quality saturated fat.

This meal is likely to provide a good four hours of energy and satiety without the blood sugar highs and lows. It is unlikely to make you feel tired, sluggish, bloated or achy and more likely to make you feel energized and vibrant.

But the candy bar was convenient...

Again, I beg to differ - exactly how convenient is convenience food when it makes you feel tired, sluggish, bloated and achy?

So the message I'm hoping to convey in this post is to: 'Read It Before You Eat It'.

Stop believing what the marketing crew meant for you to believe and really take a good good look at what you're putting in your mouth.

After all it's your choice!

In health,
Judith

Fungal Fight - Cup-Match Special Offer

Round three of the Twisted Anatomy Fungal Fight program will begin September 1st 2016.

Sign up before August 1st and save $25.

Fungal Fight Cup-Match special only $250.

Do you suffer from:

Toenail fungus, dandruff, jock-itch, recurring vaginal yeast infections, itchy skin, itchy scalp, itchy ears, itchy eyes, nose or a**s, sugar cravings, vinegar cravings, cravings for baked goods or alcohol, unpredictable bowel movements, loose stool, constipation, moodiness, aching joints, unexplained tiredness, disturbed sleep, gas, bloat, rosacea, psoriasis, or difficulty losing weight...?

If you can say yes, you suffer from one or more of the above symptoms then consider that you may have an imbalance in your micro-biome (gut flora), which is contributing to your health problems.

For optimal health we need a variety of species of bacteria and yeasts in our digestive systems so that the absorption and assimilation of our nutrition can be made optimal. This friendly flora also contributes to a well functioning immune system.

Yeast however isn't always so friendly.

This tiny opportunistic organism if not kept in check but allowed to propagate can take root and push all other helpful bugs out of the way, which ultimately results in a myriad of health complaints as detailed above.

All day long we're being exposed to yeast, it's all around us - it's on our skin and in the foods we eat. In fact it's near impossible to get away from, especially living in a hot and humid climate such as Bermuda.

But that doesn't mean we have to suffer. There are ways to keep this fiend in check and one sure way to get on top of any fungal infection is to sign up for the:

Twisted Anatomy Fungal Fight beginning September 1st, 2016.

This program will include a menu plan, anti-fungal protocol (supplements) and five group meetings for support, motivation and education.

This program is a progressively restrictive 60-day lifestyle challenge. To participate you must be willing to adhere to the program. You may feel worse at the beginning of the program as you detoxify your system BUT by the end of the 60 days you will feel amazing and will very likely lose a few pounds (the record so far being 33 pounds).

The Fungal Fight program will run from September 1st until October 31st, 2016 and your investment will be $275 all-inclusive and non-refundable.

Sign up before August 1st and save $25.

Fungal Fight Cup-Match special only $250.

If you would like to participate in the Fungal Fight Program for a cleaner, healthier digestive tract, improved energy and overall wellbeing please contact me with your interest at: ju@transact.bm

Still not convinced this program is right for you? Then check out the below testimonials:

- This is what Tania has to say about the Fungal Fight Program:
The Twisted Anatomy Fungal Fight program is more than a diet plan; it's an educational program that incorporates the whole body, mind and spirit and emphasizes the importance of diet, specific supplementation, sleep, hydration, movement and happiness.

Each group meeting is packed with the education on the how and the why to make the necessary changes for better health and the extra support from other participants in the group is very motivating.

You're provided with a comprehensive workbook with valuable information, which serves well for further support.

I had a few symptoms heading into this program - within the first week my eczema cleared up, I lost 4 lbs and a few inches dropped from my waist. I no longer felt bloated, it was actually pretty amazing!

Now three months later, my eczema is still in remission, I have lost an additional 3 lbs and I'm still bloat free and happy. I highly recommend this program!

- This is what Laura has to say about the Fugal Fight Program:
If you want a change in life for the better, do the Fungal Fight Program!

I didn't think I could do it but I did and I lost 20lbs and I feel like a new person.

I used to have a dry itchy scalp, I felt bloated and full of gas - now I have none of those issues.

The program was hard in the beginning trying to eliminate foods that I'd eaten for years, but I learned to create new healthy meals that made me feel great!

I am grateful for the guidance and education that the Fungal Fight Program offered - I now understand; you are what you eat!

In health,
Judith
