Opioids are still commonly prescribed for back and neck pain, but are they always necessary? 💊❌

Could your environment be fueling inflammation? 🌍🔥
New research found microplastics in the joints of people with rheumatoid arthritis. These tiny particles may trigger “aggressive” behavior in joint cells, leading to increased pain and tissue damage.
The takeaway: Inflammation isn’t just genetics. Supporting your body’s natural detox and reducing environmental exposures is more important than ever! 💪

Ever seen “Modic changes” on an MRI and wondered what it means? 🧠🩻
Modic changes are alterations in the bones and are fairly common in people with back pain. Some types, such as Type I, can be associated with greater discomfort.
But here’s the important part: an MRI finding doesn’t mean lifelong back pain! How you move, your strength, stress management, and nervous system all influence how you feel.
Back pain is more than what shows up on a scan. Visit our office for a full evaluation! https://bit.ly/466XWz6

Worried about arm or hand weakness from a pinched nerve? 🤚💪
When neck nerves become irritated, they can cause tingling, numbness, or weakness in the arm, a condition known as cervical radiculopathy.
The good news? Most people experience improvement with non-surgical care within 2–3 months, especially when treatment is initiated early. Chiropractic care can help improve neck mobility, reduce nerve irritation, and support muscle strength. 🙌
If symptoms persist, schedule an evaluation with us today! 📞

Ever feel like your neck is trying to tell you something before a migraine hits? 🤯
New research shows that neck pain isn’t just a side effect; it’s a major part of the migraine experience. Because your neck and head share similar wiring, stiffness in your spine can actually trigger or intensify headaches.
If your neck and head are constantly teaming up against you, let’s find out why! 👀

Chronic low back pain can actually change the muscles that support your spine! 💪
A study of over 200 people found that prolonged inactivity can make back pain last longer. When we move less, fat can build up in a deep spine-supporting muscle called the multifidus. When this muscle isn’t working correctly, your spine gets less support, making pain harder to resolve.
That’s why staying active and restoring deep muscle function is key to long-term back health. 🏃♂️

What if changing how you understand and manage your back pain could help you rely less on medication? 🤔💪
A new study followed more than 4,700 people with low back pain after they joined an education + exercise program, and the results were encouraging:
✅ 34% of people using pain meds were able to stop
✅ Those who felt more confident managing their pain were far less likely to need medication
✅ And as confidence improved over time, medication use continued to drop
This shows that pain medication isn’t the only option.
If you’re hoping to depend less on medication, we can help you build the tools and strategies that support long-term relief. Check out this infographic for more info: https://bit.ly/3aNlkak
