Couples Therapy is a form of therapy that aims to help those in relationships address a wider range of issues including recurring conflicts, I infidelity, sexual functioning, feelings of
disconnection and much more. Couples therapy can be helpful at any stage of the relationship and Solstice is open to supporting
couples of any marital status, age or sexual orientation.
Couples Therapy specifically aims to explore
the relationship that each couple shares
between each other. It is an opportunity to
engage in a process of doing an inventory of your relationship. Couples work typically involves exploring conflicts, understanding
how behaviors and patterns affect the other, and how this may contribute to the dynamin between the couple. Importantly, couples therapy supports the couple to learn new tools
in order to resolve conflict, reconnect and
thrive.

Couples work often incorporates a strengths based approach, looking at the strengths of the relationship and the qualities that attracted each other. These strengths are important and
at the core of the foundation of a couple. Areas that require the couple to work on are also identified in order to develop into a strength for self and the relationship foundation. Finally,
areas of conflict or particular difficulty are identified and explored during couples therapy. During periods of conflict couples can
be reactive, impulsive, and can do or say things they regret which can be destructive for the individuals and the couple. During couples therapy these conflicts are explored in a safe,
compassionate and solution-focused way inorder to understand the causes as well as planways to successfully navigate towards helpful outcomes and resolution.

💙 Sea of Blue at Solstice 💙

Yesterday, the Solstice team wore blue in honour of Sea of BLUE Day, standing in solidarity with Paint Into Purpose Bermuda and with all those whose lives have been changed by road traffic accidents — victims, families, and loved ones.

This is a cause that resonates deeply with our work and our community. We paused to remember, to show support, and to reflect on a simple but powerful question: what part of my driving habits can I change?

Because safer roads start with all of us. 💙

💙 We’re turning Bermuda blue for safer roads 💙
On Friday, January 16, Solstice is proud to stand with Paint Into Purpose Bermuda for Sea of BLUE Day — a moment of remembrance, reflection, and collective responsibility.
Each year, we work closely with individuals and families whose lives have been affected by road traffic accidents. This day matters deeply to our team, and we are honoured to support a movement that centres compassion, accountability, and change.
We invite the wider community to:
🔹 Wear blue in remembrance of those who have been injured or lost on our roads
🔹 Do a random act of kindness in their memory
🔹 Pause and reflect: What part of my driving habits can I change?

Let’s stand together. Let’s be visible. Let’s make our roads safer.💙

Solstice is on air tomorrow discussing ROOTED: 2026 Restart — our multidisciplinary programme created for people who are tired of starting over every January and ready for a more sustainable way forward.
ROOTED brings together psychological support, personalised nutrition guidance, and strength-based movement to address motivation, behaviour, and wellbeing together — not in isolation. It’s grounded in evidence, delivered by experienced clinicians, and focused on progress that lasts, not perfection.

January doesn’t need pressure — or perfection.

ROOTED is a one-off, in-person group workshop designed to offer support at a time of year when many people feel low, overwhelmed, or disconnected. The session takes place the same day as Blue Monday — often referred to as the most emotionally challenging day of the year — making it a timely moment to pause and reset with intention.
Rather than pushing for dramatic change, ROOTED creates space to reflect on what you truly need, what you want to carry forward, and how to set realistic goals that fit your life — not someone else’s expectations.

Expect:
🌿 gentle structure, not rigid rules
🌿 guided reflection and conversation
🌿 practical tools for building sustainable momentum
🌿 a calm, supportive group environment

💙 When things feel heavy — support matters.

In yesterday's Royal Gazette, our Managing Director reflects on why the festive season — and the weeks that follow — can be emotionally challenging for so many people.
January brings its own pressures: financial strain, reduced daylight, disrupted routines and the weight of “fresh start” expectations. All of this often culminates around Blue Monday — commonly referred to as the most emotionally difficult day of the year.
At Solstice, we see this every year. And we’re clear about one thing: struggling during this time is not a personal failure — it’s a human response.

That’s why we’re introducing Rooted — a new whole-person programme designed to help people move away from quick fixes and instead build sustainable, grounding habits that support mental and emotional wellbeing.

Because support isn’t just helpful — it matters.

We’re resharing our Managing Director’s recent interview, reflecting on how demand for mental health support often increases during the festive season — driven by heightened anxieties and a growing openness to seeking help which appeared in today's Royal Gazette
As Kelly Madeiros, Managing Director of Solstice, shares, these conversations matter — and support should always be within reach.

January doesn’t need another reset — or another round of self-blame.

In today’s The Royal Gazette, Solstice nutritionist Neresh Douglas explores why quick-fix January weight-loss plans so often fail — and what actually supports lasting change.

At Solstice, we take an integrated approach that looks at mind, nutrition and movement together, recognising the role of stress, sleep, hormones and emotional wellbeing.

✨ If you’re ready to start differently this January, we’re here.
