It takes more than just putting a nice lipstick on (By Danni Sarmento – 23rd Aug 2022)
We are taught to believe that looking after ourselves involves putting a nice lipstick on or buying some nice shoes or a new pair of jeans. All of these are fine as it makes us feel good, however, looking after ourselves and our bodies involves a lot more than just taking external measures to increase our mood levels & health.
When was the last time you looked at yourself in the mirror and noticed something nice and pretty about your appearance? Instead of pointing out what does not look good and you wished to change?
When was the last time you took proper time to fully rest your body and energy, without feeling guilty for not being active?
When was the last time you had your body cared for with a massage, or a nice salt bath, or a relaxing time in nature with plenty of stillness?
You see, we are taught to believe that action is greater than inaction, that sleeplessness is better than sleep and that feeling tired is a sign of accomplishment.
We are also thought to believe that the world revolves around being on the move at all times, and that stillness is a sign of weakness or failure.

The word disease in itself means DIS – EASY (Lack of ease), and EVERY Dis-Ease is a direct communication from the body to Us that we need to look deep inside and find balance, maybe by slowing down and adding stillness to our routine.
We measure not efforts when it comes to taking our cars to the garage for repair or maintenance; we don´t think twice when it comes to redecorating our homes or buying some new piece of furniture or decoration, but we find ourselves hesitant when it comes to spending time and money to look after our bodies on a deep level.
Our cars and homes have a much longer life span than our bodies, they will probably still be here after we are gone..."Continue on the comments"
