Today's theme will be how the hip abductors can affect a chain of movement, either by over or underworking. In the case of foot pronation, the hip abductors are commonly under active with the peroneals overactive. In NKT we test each of the 3 abductors, the glute med, glute min, and TFL to see which one is truly under active. Then we release a specific spot on the peroneals before activating one of those 3. Homework is to mimic the session. Getting the hip abductors to fire has a huge impact on pronation and the medial knee.
