Yes, when we talk about plastics is no colorful subject! Let's talk about "durable" ones. This bin I got at a curbside ( I didn't buy it), looked pretty ok. Even though I keep it inside a cabinet with no exposure to sun/ light, wind, or rain/water it lasted without starting to break around 18 months. That is one of the ways that microplastics are formed. All that to say that even when isn't a disposable plastic or one-time use, it still hasn't a long utility period even though it will continue to exist more than 600 years as pieces of plastic. The call to action here is: If you have an alternative to plastic, please use it!
