Morning sickness is for the birds, really. Most moms experience nausea during early pregnancy. Now is the time to swap out that routine morning coffee for a ginger tea. Ginger aids in digestion and helps soothe stomach discomfort.
Pro tip: You can also grab some ginger losanges at your local pharmacy or grocery store. These are useful for car rides.

We say "most" because IVF allows some exceptions to the norm.
Women were once little babies in their mother's womb. During the 5-7th month in the womb, females have millions of oocytes(eggs) formed. Once females get older these same group of oocytes will be released each month, most people know this as a me**es or "period".

There's also a point in the monthly cycle in which women can get pregnant. If one of these eggs is fertilized (by s***m) we can end up with a pregnancy. The fertilized egg is what gives rise to an entire human baby!

💔💔💔

Grieving the loss of a beloved friend and community member who was shot and killed yesterday in broad daylight as she was standing outside talking to her neighbor.

Amber was one of the kindest, most generous and compassionate people I have known, a fellow birthworker whom I finally had the pleasure of working with at a birth last week. She leaves behind 3 children and hundreds of mothers she has served.

There are truly no words for this unjust tragedy. It's times like this where I am at a loss to comprehend the great Mystery. Life is short and precious...
