I am very honored with this publicaton in Inflammation Research.
Nowadays, it is very relevant to the clinical practice to be allert to differential diagnosis in clinical cases of peripheral and/or tissue eosinophilia, and abnormal IgE serum levels.
For our medical practice to be as accurate as possible, fortunately many of these patients have atopic diathesis or adverse drug reactions. However, a small portion may have conditions other than atopy, involving hematological malignancies, autoimmune or other cutaneous or systemic inflammatory diseases. Prioritizing the diagnosis, reassessing a clinical case where the treatment is not being effective, is extremely important in our medical practice.
We leave this article reference that we wrote with the intention of helping dermatologists, allergists, pediatricians and even hematologists in these clinical scenarios.
