Strengthening Partnerships. Building Community. Enhancing Readiness.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force extends sincere appreciation to CEO and Clinical Director Dr. Ketroya Oliver, FRCP, of Mount Olive Medical Center, for her generous donation of much needed gym equipment including training mats, a kettlebell, and additional fitness items to the Clifford Scavella Fitness Center.
A patron of the facility for over two years, Dr. Oliver expressed her gratitude to RBDF leadership and gym staff for their continued commitment to maintaining a fitness environment that is accessible not only to members of the Defence Force, but also to the wider civilian community.
She was joined at the presentation by Captain Sonia Miller, Captain Coral Harbour, who conveyed appreciation on behalf of the Commodore Floyd Moxey, along with the Base Executive Officer Commander Elizabeth Simms, Base First Lieutenant Lieutenant Commander James Cox, the Gym Officer-in-Charge Force Chief Petty Officer Maryann Fowler, the Second-in-Charge Petty Officer Demetrius Stephan Clarke and members of the gym’s administrative staff.
Under the leadership of Commodore Moxey and his executive team, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to fostering strong partnerships with our civilian counterparts. These collaborations are essential in ensuring the continued growth and development of our fitness facilities supporting military readiness while also promoting health, wellness, and unity across our wider national community.
