Therefore, all the patients screened for operative cases on 3rd December at PHC and anyone having eye related illnesses are advised to visit the Hospital on mentioned date.

This is to inform the general public that an ophthalmic technician from Tashichholing Hospital will be visiting Gangthok Primary Health Centre on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025 for Eye Camp Screening as part of the Annual Comprehensive Mobile Operative Eye Camp (CMOEC). The CMOEC will be conducted from 8th to 13th December,2025 at Tashichholing Hospital.
Therefore, all individuals experiencing any form of eye-related illness or discomfort are kindly invited to attend the screening on the mentioned date.
Your participation is highly encouraged for better eye health and timely care.

We are delighted to announce that the Flu vaccine will be available from coming week for the Five high risk groups at Gangthok PHC.
The flu vaccine is an annual shot recommended for every eligible group to protect against seasonal influenza (flu). It reduces the risk of getting the flu and can make illness less severe even if you get flu infections.
Kindly stay informed and avail the service when available.

If you are bitten by a dog, you should;
1. Immediately wash the bite wound with soap and clean water for atleast 15 to 20 minutes
2. Apply pressure to stop bleeding (if bleeding profusely)
3. Visit any health facility to receive life-saving Anti Rabies Vaccine and antibodies

It is very important to receive all the doses of vaccine as per the schedule to get maximum protection from Rabies infection.

World Rabies Day, observed annually on 28th September aims to raise awareness for action against deadly but preventable diseases.
Estimated 27,700 deaths occurs annually from rabies in our South East Asian Region. Most of the victims are children under 15 years.
Rabies is an ongoing public health issue in Bhutan, particularly in Southern and Eastern border regions with India due to large free roaming dog population within porous borders.
