Bartsham Hospital joins the global observance of World Stroke Day on 29th October 2025 under the theme “Every Minute Counts.”

This year’s theme highlights the importance of early recognition of stroke symptoms using the BE-FAST acronym and the need for immediate medical attention to prevent disability and save lives.

Public Notice
October is observed as Elderly Month every year with the theme “Fulfilling the promises of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for Older People.”

Bartsham Hospital will be conducting health screening for all elderly 65 years and above, along with influenza vaccination as per the tentative schedule.

Let’s come together to show love and care for our elderly citizens.

On invitation, Dental Hygienist Mr. Sonam Tshewang represented Bartsham Hospital and delivered a talk on the importance of handwashing at Bartsham Primary School in observance of the Global Handwashing Day.
He emphasized the vital role of handwashing in maintaining good health, preventing the spread of germs, and promoting hygiene among school children.
This year, Global Handwashing Day was celebrated under the theme “Be a Handwashing Hero.”

Annual Hospital Rimdro 2025

The Annual Rimdro was successfully conducted on 3rd October at our hospital. The sacred ritual was presided over by Khenpo of Sangdag Gyepeling Monastery/Chador Lhakhang, accompanied by lopens from the monastery.

The Rimdro was organized for the well-being of our patients, staff, their families, and the wider community, invoking blessings for peace, good health, and harmony.

We were deeply honored by the presence of Hon’ble MP of Bartsham–Shongphu, Dasho Ringchen Wangdi, along with other distinguished guests from the Gewog Administration, Bartsham Central School, Bartsham Primary School, SMCL, local shopkeepers, and community members.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Lama, Khenpo, and lopens of Chador Lhakhang for leading the sacred ceremony and offering their blessings.

May this Rimdro bring lasting peace, prosperity and good health to everyone in our community. 🙏

On 6th June, hospital staff attended a sensitization session covering three key topics: the HR and Grievance Module, led by the Officiating ADM; the MHPC system, presented by the MHPC Focal Person; and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), conducted by the HA. The session aimed to enhance staff knowledge and ensure they are updated with the latest developments in these areas.
