🥂 Respect Choices This Holiday Season 🥂

Not everyone chooses to drink during the holidays — or at all — and that’s perfectly okay. Whether it’s for personal, health, cultural, or any other reason, no one owes an explanation.

Let’s normalize respecting boundaries and create an inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable. Instead of asking why someone isn’t drinking, consider offering a non-alcoholic option.

🚫 Not drinking doesn’t make anyone “boring” or “antisocial.” It’s simply their choice — and it deserves respect.

Celebrate responsibly, inclusively, and kindly this season! 🎄✨

🎄Festive Season Health Reminder 🧑‍🎄✨

As we enter the festive season, a time of celebration and shared meals, it is important to remain mindful of our health and well-being. Making balanced choices during this period can help us enjoy the holidays while maintaining healthy habits.

Stay healthy this festive season by:
• Practising portion control
• Choosing nutrient-rich foods
• Opting for healthier options at events
• Eating mindfully
• Managing stress and avoiding emotional eating

✨ The food choices we make directly influence our health. Let us celebrate responsibly and enter the new year feeling nourished, energised, and well-prepared for a healthy future. 🌱💙

📍 Ditshegwane Community Outreach — 9 December

We’re hitting the ground in Ditshegwane! 💙
Our health team spent the day engaging with community members and visiting Ipelegeng worksites to raise awareness about the dangers of to***co use, the impact of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle practices.

Together, let’s keep our community informed, protected, and healthy. 🌱✨

Regular physical activity is a key part of preventing chronic diseases. It helps lower the risk of heart disease, several types of cancer, and type 2 diabetes. Exercise also supports mental health by reducing stress and improving mood. Overall, staying active boosts energy, improves sleep, and enhances long-term well-being.

A little movement each day goes a long way. Your future self will thank you! ❤️

🌟 Festive Season Health Reminder 🌟

As we head into the festive season, we encourage everyone to take care of themselves and their loved ones. ❤️

🚭 Remember: There are no safe alternatives to regular ci******es. Switching to a v**e is often just replacing one harmful addiction with another.

🔍 Did You Know?
• A cigarette smoker typically takes 8–12 puffs (about 40–75 ml of smoke) over 5–7 minutes, inhaling around 0.5–0.6 litres of smoke in total.
• A water pipe (ho**ah/Hubbly) session can involve 50–200 puffs, and each puff may range from 0.15–1 litre of smoke — exposing users to significantly more smoke than a cigarette.

🚨 It is especially concerning that many children and teens are smoking Hubbly (ho**ah). This harms their developing lungs and increases the risk of lifelong addiction.

🍷 If you’re celebrating, please drink responsibly, and do your best to avoid second-hand smoke to protect your health and those around you.

Let’s keep this festive season joyful, healthy, and safe. 🎄✨
Your health matters — today and always.
