CREATIVITY VS. SCREEN TIME

☆ Schools are about to close, lets limit screen time and allow our children to discover creative things to spend time on. (Reka dipentenyana le marache ba pente)

☆This here is a painting by my 12year old son, im yet to sit with him and hear the thinking behind this painting.(Only because ke ne ke lotleletse phone mo kamoreng)

☆That creates bonding time between him and I. (Yone KYC- know your child)

☆That allows me to also put my phone done for a while and have uninterrupted quality time with him. (Batsadi le rona re rata diphone akere🫣, le nna tota😂)

None of us is perfect but what matters most is we are willing to get better daily.

Students who didnt do well in their JC results are still our children. Bana ba ba sa pasang form 3, ntse ke bana ba rona.

Let us not discard them, they are hurting at the realization that they self sabotaged by not studying and preparing in time. Some are frustrated that they just cant grasp formulas and concepts.

This does not disqualify them totally out of life. Ours as parents is to correct the same way God corrects us over and over again.

Over the weekend i was invited to speak at a 'Men's Conference' organised by Gaborone Secondary School (GSS) for their male students. What an honour and a privilledge to be able to impart wisdom and hope for these young men and future leaders.🙏

I was really impressed by:

▪︎ how well the young men dressed
▪︎ the discipline in them throughout the day
▪︎ the respect they showed to the SRC, who were in charge of the day's events
▪︎how they engaged with all speakers throughout the day

These young people have the power to become the greatest versions of themselves and great leaders of our country if nurtured and guided well. I commend the school for such initiatives👏
