Sidilega proudly continues its mandate of bringing essential health services closer to Batswana whenever the opportunity arises.

This two-day event is fully packed with wellness activities, aimed at fostering unity within the Ministry of Minerals & Energy and its sectors. As we close the month of November—dedicated to men’s health awareness, we seize this moment to offer free health screenings and education to all participants.

We are honoured to have the Minister of MME, Hon. Ms. Bogolo Joy Kenewendo, who officially opened the games and set the tone for this impactful wellness initiative.

SIDILEGA OFFERS ULTRASOUND-GUIDED TRANSPERINEAL PROSTATE BIOPSY.

During the month of Movember, we are proud of the ground breaking procedure introduced by our team of specialists which consists of Dr Huang, Dr Yan and Dr Sello all under the Urology field.

Ultrasound-guided transperineal prostate biopsy entails the urologist passes the biopsy needle through the perineal skin and into the prostate, rather than passing the biopsy needle through a potentially contaminated re**um.

The biopsy needle is still guided by an ultrasound placed in the re**um. This approach lowers the risk of sepsis to 1 in 500, rather than the approximate 1 to 2 in 100 risk of sepsis related to transrectal biopsy.

MENS HEALTH SCREENING AT BOTSWANA POWER CORPORATION HEAD OFFICE.

Sidilega in partnership with Mediland Healthcare Distributors visits Botswana Power Corporation to give staff a wellness check up and PSA test.

Urologist Dr Yan and Dietitian Ms Makuku took time to explain and consult groups of men on their health and give guidance on how to be more healthier.

SIDILEGA BLOOD DONATION DRIVE IN COLLABORATION WITH NATIONAL BLOOD TRANSFUSION CENTER.

We thank our staff and the public who donated and were up in ARMS to help Botswana's shortage of Blood.

We urge those who could not make it to visit the Blood Transfusion Center to also play a part in helping the people of Botswana.

Blood shortage is a real problem and we can all play a part in making sure we help those in need.

Blood shortage is a serious issue in Botswana at the moment. We need to unite to save the lives of our grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters and children.

You are all invited to come and donate blood at Sidilega Private Hospital.

Who Qualifies to donate Blood?
-Age from 16 years to 65 years
-Weight from 50 Kilograms
-Should be in good health
-Prior to donation donors are checked hemoglobin level(blood level), blood pressure and general health status
-Blood is tested for H.I.V, Hepatitis C, Syphilis and blood group
