Eyelight Optometrists did lend a helping hand for the cause for children support,future of our nation,by sponsoring P10,000 ( including P2000 through Lions Club of Gaborone Greater Club contribution),
towards the purchase of medication for the Measles Rubella Campaign led by the Minstry of Health.
The handover at the Central Medical Stores was the was graced by Prof Dr.Oathokwa Nkomazana,Permanent Secretary, Ms.MildredMasiga,Acting Director ,Public Health,M.Rajunisa Rose Molomo,
Partnership Officer,Ms.Marina Seobakeng,Chief Health Officer,Children Health Division ,Ministry of Health,Botswana.
Further,we had representatives from the Cdntral Medical Stores- Mr.Lawrence Gabaraane,CMS PRO and Mr.Teedzani Singabapha,Chief Pharmacist ,CMS.

Eyelight Optometrists in partnership with Loxion Club conducted free eye screening for 74 elderly of the Malotwane community and donated reading specs worth P4300 free of cost.
Those who needed further evaluation for ocular conditions were referred to DRM and SLH .

Eyelight Optometrists conducted free eye screening for the around 77 elderly at Tlhareseleele Kgotla ,around 100 km away from Gaborone.
P5000 worth readers were given free during this community eyehealth care activity.
Out of 12 patients with cataract,5 patients who were identified to least vision due to cataract were noted for the cataract surgery ,remaining were referred to the nearest Government Hospital.
Three were identified to have Glaucoma were also referred for further line of management by the Ophthalmologist.
