You don't have to wait to be rich to be generous, you exercise the act by giving all you have right now, your time, your ear of understanding, your heart and care to the nearest elder, it will be easier to build them a house in future.

PITY just feels sorry, COMPASSION does something about it. Sympathy says "ohh poor you", Compasion says "I'm motivated to help". Compassion without action is just observation. Do something good for the elderly.
