The just ended public speaking workshop we hosted in collaboration with the University of Botswana Work Camps Association, was a beautiful session to join. It wasn’t just about learning how to speak well, it was about finding courage, trusting one’s voice, and showing up authentically.

We watched hesitation turn into confidence, silence turn into expression, and fear turn into growth. Each contribution, each question, each brave step forward reminded us that when young people are given the right space, their potential speaks for itself.

We are grateful for everyone who was part of this journey. This is the work. This is the impact.

This iconic moment was captured when our Chairperson and Founder, Mr. Tshiamo Brian Badubi, triumphed and qualified to represent Botswana at the World Scholars Cup Champions of Champions hosted at Yale University in the debating category. 🏆🎓

It was in this very moment that the dream of Teemane Oratory Academy was born, a vision to nurture young minds, sharpen voices, and create a home for Botswana’s intellectual diamonds. 💎

From that spark, we’ve grown into a community where talent meets opportunity, and potential becomes excellence.

Teemane Oratory Academy had the honour of paying a courtesy visit to the Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Child Welfare and Basic Education, Botswana, Hon Justin Hunyepa.

The meeting provided an opportunity to update the Honourable Assistant Minister on the ongoing preparations for the Botswana National Debate Team, as well as to share Teemane Oratory Academy’s 2026 calendar of events, all aimed at developing confident, critical, and globally competitive young speakers.

We are deeply encouraged by the warm reception and strong show of support from Hon. Hunyepa for the work Teemane Oratory Academy continues to do in nurturing young minds and promoting oratory excellence in Botswana.

Teemane Oratory Academy is proud to announce that we will be hosting the trials for the BOTSWANA NATIONAL SCHOOLS DEBATE TEAM 🇧🇼✨

The selected individuals will have the honour of representing Botswana at the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC), scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 14th – 24th July 2026 🌍🗣️

This is a historic opportunity for young debaters to rise, compete on the global stage, and carry the Botswana flag with excellence, intellect, and pride.

On the 11th of October, the University of Botswana was transformed into a haven of rhythm, emotion, and connection as Teemane Oratory Academy hosted its Poetry Night — an evening that reminded us of the true power of words. 💭🔥

Through poetry, we didn’t just perform , we built community.

The stage is set, the mic is waiting, and the vibe is strictly Old School! This Saturday, 11th October 2025, from 6PM to 10PM, join us at the Business Block Foyer at the University of Botswana for a night of poetry, rhythm, and nostalgia like no other.

Expect soul-stirring performances, old school beats, and a vibe that will take you back while keeping you rooted in the present. Snacks and refreshments will be available to keep the energy flowing, and yes it’s absolutely free!
