THE FOUNDATION MUST BE STRONG

Please build your marriage on a strong foundation. The foundation must be strong because it normally carries a lot of weight. Don't just marry because the s*x is amazing, or friends are getting married, or that the money is there, or because she is pregnant or because of pressure from church. If the foundation is weak, the marriage will not stand the test of time.

Before you say 'i do, and forever ' till death do us part, understand what you are getting yourself into. Get knowledge, get information on communication, finances, in-law issues, conflict resolution etc. Because love alone is not enough.

When everything is running smooth, money flowing, projects moving, and the s*x perfect, marriage is good. You become the best wife. You become best husband. Let the evil day come, and shake the foundation and pillars of your marriage. Best wife, best husband title is thrown out of window. It matters a lot how you respond to your challenges. Not every marriage going through challenges should end in divorce. Deal with the problem, and let him/her remain best spouse.

MANY MARRIAGES ARE DESTROYED BY LACK OF COMMITMENT.

'Forever together until death do us part' is not an impossible promise. But a promise that needs dedication, determination and commitment from both parties involved. However, many say 'forever', but at the slightest challenge, they threaten divorce, they get a side lover, they deny you intimacy and even kill the friendship that helped you communicate things freely. Olorato Marriage Counselling Centre -DITSO

Olorato Marriage Counselling Centre is founded by Albert Gaopelo. Gaopelo, who is a Marriage Counselor, is also one of the founding members of Botswana Marriage Counselors’s Association. Apart from Olorato services, he also does voluntary counselling work for Office ya Manyalo at BBS, Gaborone and Tlokweng. He deals with reconciliations and family matters on daily basis. Olorato Marriage Counseling Centre was inspired to existence by a case Rre Gaopelo handled in 2016. The case was already at the High-court. There was no hope. The Couple were not on speaking terms when he took the case. And when they withdrew the matter from the High-court, and four months later moved in back together as husband and wife, the vision for Olorato Marriage Counselling Centre was established. Today many marriages have been restored, many homes have been rebuilt and relationships have been repaired. ‘’The future looks promising. ‘’ The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams’’. And Olorato believes every marriage can be restored. Dont give up too soon.
